The property was OK but nothing special. It was far away from the beach and you had to walk down a dirt road. It was made to look much closer on the promotion. We had trouble with the hot water supply and it can do with better kitchen ware and cooking utensils. Sara, who looked after us was lovely and helpful.

Weather was mixed but at this time of the year all good, was warm, windy, rain and sun, 2 things no hot water on 5 of my 7 days and no washing machine, was on business so was part of a need rather than a would like, did mention it more than once, great for a couple get away

Will stay again definately
I loved staying here, the beds were so comfy and the place was spotless clean! Plus location was fantastic very close to Muri and muri night markets. Absolute value for your money. I highly recommend this place. Oh and you can use Muri beach hotel pools when you eat or purchase drinks there. This was bonus!

Good kitchen amenities, big bathroom but shower cubicle tiny! Nice white towels and bed linen. Bed extremely soft! Nice balcony and all furnished nicely. Lots of tea and coffee. Tv and good channels, fan only was fine. Did feel a bit damp but that probably due to 3 days of continuous down pour of rain. Great location to muri lagoon and restaurants

Everything is perfect. the only thing is to take a flashlight with you for evening movement, a certain part of the central road without lighting, so as not to miss your turn to the bungalow

We enjoyed the fact that 2 friends could have single beds rather than the queen bed that is usually in the room. Great fly screens on all the windows. Deck had comfortable furniture

We stayed at the Muri Lagoon View Bungalows for the first half of our Holiday in Raro, so we could enjoy both sides of the Island. The Bungalows are located away from the busy Muri Beach Resort (which I preferred as we could have our own space) It was a quick walk to the Muri Markets, a Dairy, The Lagoon Cruises, Bars and Villi's Burgers (BY FAR THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD) The Bungalow we had was quite private, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!

Good location, not a great accommodation
The location was good for Muri lagoon and town and the association with Muri Beach Club was fab as we could use their facilities provided we bought something from the bar/restaurant. However, the check-in process was a little odd as we didn't actually see a member of staff at all during our stay apart from the cleaner one morning. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to others - the chickens were incredibly loud in the mornings and there also sounded like animals scuttling around in the ceiling.

Hi Lucy, Sorry I missed seeing you. We do try and make check in as seamless as possible, so name on the door, key inside, free local calls, compendium and sign in form all available upon check in. There is no office at the bungalows, so enquiries are handled at the Muri Beach Club Hotel which is great because there is always someone on hand 24/7. Chickens are an island wide issue sorry

Very clean and spacious - really loved the deck it was so relaxing to chill out on. The roosters are amazing and have no idea of the time of day as they crow day and night, also saw a lot of birds feasting on the trees

Besen war aber vorhanden Insgesamt sehr sauber und man fühlt sich schnell wohl auch mit dem fantastischen Ausblick in die Lagoon

Could be better
Beds only changed every 3 days, which is less than ideal for an accommodation where everyday is spent at a beach, also despite the name it is not particularly close to a beach (10 min walk) which is far by cook islands standards. To be fair for the price this is okay, but if i was to go this area again I would pay extra for something a little better and more Convenient. Also the shower took so long to get warm we were unaware we had hot water till out 4th day here.

Kia Orana Gregory, Thank you for your feedback, it is difficult for us to justify changing all linen sooner than every 3 days, and we are one of very few that also provide beach towels as well as bath towels, plus in the compendium there is mention that if you wish to replenish linen throughout your stay then you are welcome to phone and request. In terms of hot water, our hot water is solar paneled and we do have a booster switch which can activate your hot water in the event there is not enough sun during the day. Again this info is in the compendium, but should have also been mentioned by Housekeeping on your arrival - apologies if this info was not passed on in a timely manner

Very close to muri beach, amazing staff
The bungalow was an open and bright space that was very close to muri beach (less than a 5 min walk). Vani the house keeper was so bright and friendly and went above and beyond to recommend activities, organise shuttles, and general requests! The uphill walk to the bungalow was very easy, we’re in our mid twenties.

El apartamento es grande y cómodo, estaba limpio. Las vistas bonitas. Lo malo que la recepción está lejos en otro alojamiento y hay que andar bastante. Lo peor que seleccionamos la opción de pago en el alomajiento y nos lo cargaron unas semanas antes de llegar y encima tres veces, al final nos devolvieron lo que nos habían cobrado extra y por adelantado pero pagamos la comisión del banco por cambio de divisa...

Nice self contained unit with a lovely view over Muri lagoon. Comfortable bed and mosquito nets on all windows and doors. The bathroom was a bit grubby, but 4 really nice towels made up for it. Air conditioner was available for an extra $30, but the fan provided was enough for us. There's no pool but you are made welcome to use the facilities 5-10min walk away at the Beach Club Hotel (but just go to the beach). The hotel will also store your bags after check out and arrange airport transport for you. Would certainly recommend for those travelling on a budget. A great spot, close to all the best water activities to fill your days!

Absolutely fantastic
The location is perfect. Muri is stunning and it's only a short walk away. The accommodation itself is private, it's away from the main road with lovely trees everywhere. There is a partial lagoon view. The bungalow was awesome. Everything was nice and tidy, the room was a perfect size and really had an island feel. The guys at the hotel were great and all staff were so friendly, it was great being able to use the facilities. The only gripe I had was the water was either too hot or cold (not so bad in the hot weather). All in all, we had a fabulous time and wi'll be back. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thanks guys :)

beautiful area, close to local shops
First time to Rarotonga so overall was a realy good relaxing holiday. I enjoyed the scenery, food of course, animals are looked after which is good to see. Locals are always helpful

Not thrilled.
I couldn't wait to leave. This place was not clean and the photos are misleading as to how close you are to the lagoon. I am disappointed. My bedroom smelt bad and when lying in bed, things would drop from the ceiling onto my face. I think it is like termite dust? I also had more than my share of millipedes. I didn't mind the Gecko's even tho they left poo around the place. T.v isn't in same room as the bed, not a huge biggie, but when thing fall from the ceiling it does limit where you can sit. The bathroom was unclean. The tiles need a good clean and there is a fungus growing in the shower. Outside, the roosters start crowinh outside your room at 4am (didn't mind this). I have stayed in other cheaper accommodation, but this is a rip off. Also $30 a day for a/c? Oh and the washing machine didn't work.

Local life (as well as humans) but the best !
This is a great place if you want to be independent and away from traditional tourist hotels - great place to enjoy the beautie of this wonderful Island and what the islanders have to offer ... it’s practical and comfortable - and for the price you cannot complain .. I would suggest you bring insect spray .. as it’s up the hill and the locals (not humans) come alive at night as do the chickens - but that’s all part of travelling ... I would recommend it .... plus, use the local bus to get there and back it’s great and cheap !

Great location in Muri Lagoon area
Spacious bungalow about a 10 minute walk to most activities and restaurants. Full use of pool and beach chairs by the lagoon at Muri Beach Club Hotel was a real plus. Staff excellent! Sara responded immediately to all requests. Leanne arranged a late checkout on last day that was much appreciated. Great value.

So Tranquil
If you want a chance to get away from everything then this is the place to do it and feel totally revitalised. The view and atmosphere are wonderful and just a quick walk to restaurants, bus and beach. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a breakaway.

Nice location, big room and bed.
The Bungalow was beautiful, plenty of room for everything we brought. Just the rosters in the morning are a bit annoying coz they wake you up really early.

Perfect stay for a perfect price
Went to this place for our honey moon and it was great, had our names on the door so we knew which was ours. The inside was tidy and clean and there is an option of air con for an extra price. Good tv channels!! Something you done see in the Cook Islands much. There were some gorgeous cats around very friendly and will stick around if you feed them hehe. All kitchenware supplied so you've got everything you need! Loved it and would go again! Thanks

Il s'agit plus d'une location d'appartement que d'un hôtel : pas de réception. Le prénom du client est écrit sur la porte du bungalow : quand on arrive, on fait le tour des bungalows pour trouver le sien et une lettre de la direction nous attend sur la table pour nous donner quelques explications. J'ai rencontré une fois par hasard une employée qui faisait le ménage, mais j'aurais très bien pu passer tout le sejour sans rencontrer personne de l'hôtel ! En dehors de cela, tout confort dans le bungalow pour cuisiner, dormir et passer quelques jours de repos. Comme le disent certains commentaires, effectivement, une petite côte à monter. Quand on est jeune, ça va, mais je comprends que cela puisse être fatigant sinon reste longtemps. En résumé, très bien pour le prix qui est somme toute modeste. Ne pas s'attendre à un cinq étoiles en payant le prix d'un deux ou trois étoiles...

Not ideal
Cheap isn't best. And this in the scheme of things wasn't that cheap. I've traveled extensively in the third world, solo. I've never had any major issues, except with sickness which goes with the territory. This experience however defied logic. Poor signage led to a mix up in where the place actually is. Be very careful about this if you stay. No one around to meet you or available by telephone. Stinky. Dirty. I slept on towels in the lounge the room gave me the creeps. Stray cats everywhere so you can't open the doors and no aircon. Annoying chickens and neighbours. No view at all. Just avoid this one. The people are too laid back. Like in a bad way. Unreliable. Don't communicate. It's bizarre. A rip off. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the sweet smell of raw sewerage when sat on the deck. Or the sound of angle grinders non stop below and men staring in at me.

Impressed with the bungalow, had nearly everything we needed. Technical issues were sorted out quickly with little disruption.

Underwhelming to say the least
Room was dirty, with blood stains on the sink, terribly uncomfortable bed, horrible pillows and the general area around the bungalow was pretty run down. Would not recommend to anyone and if I could go back and spend extra to stay somewhere else, I would!!

Peaceful setting with a partial lagoon view.
The Bungalow itself was comfortable and very quiet. Needs some updating and the view to the lower left of #3 needs to be cleaned up( old rusting van). Phone and verify wether a place you want to go or eat at is still open as the Information booklet in the rooms is out of date. Overall the island and the people were great.

Nice bungalows, minus the lagoon view
The bungalow was great - it is self-contained and has everything you need. However, be warned that there is certainly no lagoon view. The bungalows are up a small hill, about five minutes walk from the Muri lagoon. If you're after somewhere right on the beach/lagoon, keep looking, but if you don't mind being a little away from the beach, these bungalows are a nice secluded place to stay. It's also worth noting that only one of the bungalows currently has air conditioning, and you will be charged an additional NZD$30 per day/night to use it!

Great place. Back from main road was nice. Walking distance to all muri shops/ bars. Room has everything you need. Good size rooms
