Not appealing from the outside at all, lobby was sparse/non-descript, but lo & behold the room was small, but adequate/clean/comfy bed, with a fridge, all old but wow a gorgeous modern marble bathroom, go figure!

The location is awesome. However the conditions of the building and the room are very poor but it was clean sheets. Definitely not worth for what you pay. This is no more than 2 start.

the hotel is located on Laugarvegur, which is the main street for shopping and dining. The suite was large and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Since the hotel is located on a busy street, there is a lot of noise and the room is not very well insulated. The main issue with the hotel is that the reception area is manned only from 11am to 11pm, there is nobody there other times. This can be an issue if you need something simple like toilet paper in the middle of the night and there is nobody to call

Paying for location, not quality

We stayed in a tiny room that apparently had a shared bathroom... Not aware of this. Beds were separated (we moved them back together) and the floor was dirty. No TV, no breakfast (or even coffee), no toiletries and the beds felt like air mattresses. The bathroom was the worst part and the water smelled so bad. Broken shower floor, MOLD, and so dirty. Soap was out the whole time we were there and the floor was always wet; clearly it was not cleaned often. It is in a good location 100%, and we found that that's ultimately what we were paying so much for. But truly, not worth it. The guy at the front desk was nice.

Staffs are all kind and communication in English was perfect. I only got cleaning one day during 3 days staying. Room is small and beside road, so I don't recommend long stay. Bus stop 10 is right in front of hotel, Bus stop 12 is 5 min walk. If you choose pick up at hotel when you book tours, it will say go to Bus stop 10. So no necessary to choose pick up with extra fees, if Bus stop 10 is meeting point. Toilet was dirty and when I use hot water, there is very loud pumping sounds.. so,, It was big minus for me. But thank you for staffs at front desk.

Positiv: - die freundliche Dame an der Rezeption - die Lage ist super - täglich frische Handtücher - kostenlose Garage für den Mietwagen Negativ: - der Fahrstuhl ist der Horror - die Sauberkeit ist mittelmäßig - es ist im Zimmer entweder heiß oder gleich eiskalt - das Wasser stinkt dermaßen, dass man es garnicht nutzen mag - schon auf dem Flur ist der Fußboden lieblos verlegt und dreckig - man hat keine Möglichkeit seine nassen Schuhe abzustellen - es gibt kein Frühstück (vielleicht auch besser so) - Tee und Kaffee wird nicht aufgefüllt (erhält man auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption) - kleines Zimmer ohne Platz für Koffer und ein Tisch mit 4 Stühlen gab es auch nicht Insgesamt grenzwertig und für eine Nacht okay, aber wir haben es 6 Tage ertragen.

Super Lage direkt an der Bus Station und der Fußgängerzone, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit allgemein lässt aber sehr zu wünschen übrig und die Matratzen sind so durchgelegten das einem leider nach zwei Nächten alles weh tut.

Right across the street from a bus stop which is very helpful for tour pickups. Unlisted amenities include a kettle, cups and tea. But primarily the highlight of the stay was the staff. Both the cleaning staff and receptionist were extremely kind and helpful throughout, and very understanding during a storm crisis.

Bem localizado, mas não recomendo.

O hotel era muito bem localizado, mas a estrutura era bem ruim. A começar pelo atendimento no checkin, que fomos atendidos por uma moça bem mal educada. O quarto que reservei tinha um banheiro compartilhado, mas o chuveiro estava quebrado e o banheiro inundado de água. Ao reclamar com a moça da recepção, ela nos disse que deveríamos esperar até o dia seguinte (ou seja, ficar um dia sem usar o banheiro. kkkk). Insistimos e ela ficou de dar um jeito. Fomos deslocados a outro quarto com camas de solteiro (sendo que havíamos reservado uma cama de casal). Relevamos... mas o banheiro tinha um cheiro insuportável. A pia do banheiro também estava quebrada, acumulando sujeira na louça.

Location is great. Across the street you can find bus stop #9, which is a popular one for tours and airport pick up. Receptionists were kind, but the reception is not always open, which creates a conflict if you arrive early or if you want to store your luggage after check out! In general a clean and nice hotel!

El personal fue muy amable e hicieron lo posible por responder a mis necesidades y preguntas. Esta justo enfrente de la parada de camion en donde te recogen los tours. El cuarto donde nos quedamos tenia televisión, tetera y cafe/té. Tiene elevador. Cuarto con calefacción y agua caliente en la ducha. El agua, aunque limpia, tiene olor a azufre.

The room that I had was pretty good. I had it all to myself. I had to use a public bathroom which is fine. The hotel isn't far away from shopping areas.

Loved it.

Clean and tidy. Streamlined check in and out. Very helpful and informative staff. Hotel is well positioned and great for seeing the city as well as taking tours. Safe environment. Comfortable and spacious room.

The hotel is close to bus stops and restaurants. The room was very clean. My room wasn't very large, but it was exactly as the pictures depicted. An enjoyable stay.

Ein Zimmer ohne funktionierende Raumlüftung ist problematisch. Bei fehlendem Fenster muss die Aircondition in Ordnung sein. Mangel konnte vom Personal nicht behoben werden. Meine Nachricht an Expedia blieb unbeantwortet. Ein solch minimalistisches Zimmer ohne brauchbare Lüftung ist für den Preis extrem überteuert und nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen B.
