The property was very clean and quite. The location was perfect. The common area had anything you could need from the kitchen with an upper balcony to sit and relax outside.

The property was in a great location. The door to the street is right at the start of the rainbow road. There was some street noise at night with people out drinking, but it wasn't bad. We stayed in a room for 3 people, and it was very clean. There were plenty of cups to use, as well as bowls for the cereal that was provided. There was a Keurig and a toaster too. The shower worked well, and overall we had a great stay. We would stay there again.

Centrally located, lovely clean room with great views and fabulous shared facilities. Only hassle was the internal doors key code system. It failed for us, and many others trying to get through the doors to their rooms. Successfully got through front door, then would be locked out of next floor door or our door. Repeatedly had to wait 5 minutes for lock to reset then try again.

Great location, right in the middle of everything. We were a family traveling and had early morning plans. This is a hostel and there were some younger people staying in the other areas. Overall everyone was quiet and respectful.

Our room was excellent, the community area was well stocked with utensils, cooking and dinner ware. Everything was very clean, comfortable and warm. The patio area overlooking the road/city center was wonderful. Location is fantastic!!! Roughly the center point of the city center, shops and restaurants abound. We were in Iceland two weeks, easily our favorite place. Would definitely rebook here if we were to return. Highly recommended.

Door code was difficult to use it took me quite a few times to get in I even ended up getting locked out once and had to wait for the lock to reset I messaged the host and to this day have still not gotten an answer. I also had to leave early due to an airstrike by the airline I was flying on and even the travel agency that I booked through has not been able to get a hold of them and that has been over a week ago they have still not responded It's a Wonderful property and a fantastic location but the communication is terrible

Very cozy property, quiet, clean, and centrally located. Owners were super responsive over email before and during our stay. Location can't get any better for Reykjavik. Would certainly stay there again.

The location is central walking distance to shops and restaurants in Reykjavik. Bus stops are a 3-5 minute walk for excursion pickups. The staff is friendly and patient, especially after an issue with a lock. I would recommend a suite with access to the common area. The common area is comfortable with all necessary items.
Rainbow Street just in front of the location.

Perfect Quick Stay

This property is centrally located in downtown within walking distance of everything. The unit was small but had everything we needed. The only downside is that it’s above a bar which you can hear at night & there’s no private parking so we had to find public parking. I’d recommend this place to a quick, convenient stay.

I would give a better score if not for the fact that the hotel was in the middle of redecorating during my stay. I would have thought most hotels close during such a process. The room and the common area was good. But the rest of the hotel was in shambles and smelled strongly of glue. Not a great experience. I also had to ask for the door code as I did not receive this ahead of time (and yes, I did check my spam folder). The issue was promptly sorted out, however. Overall the experience was decent, but at the price I expect the hotel to be neat and tidy, and not in the middle of major redecorating.

Positives - clean room and very convenient location. Negatives - no luggage drop off, no fan or AC, TV didn’t work and no elevator. The place is clean and convenient, but if you’re flying from the US, flights generally arrive early and you will have to store your luggage. There is an automated luggage storage facility nearby, but the cost was about $25 for two medium bags and two carry ons. You will need to rent a couple of lockers. The storage facility is underground in a car park, so you will need to take stairs. Also, at the apartment, you will have to take two or three flights of stairs depending on where your room is. If you’re not into carrying luggage up and down stairs, choose a different location. I wouldn’t stay here again, but if you’re arriving in the afternoon and only have a carry on, it would be okay.

2 day Reykjavik stay

The stay was great. Loud music could be heard on Friday night until ~4am. Luckily we were on the fourth floor so it was manageable. Bathroom was small but worked. Location was great, but relying on a park house was unfortunate. Distance to popular Reykjavik destinations could not be better.

Positive - close to downtown shops. Negative - on top of a bar with loud music that didn't close until about 5am. Loud music and loud drunks. Vibrations filtered up. Emailed company but no response. Douvet was stained. Disgusting.

In the heart of town

Worked well for us. Room B 11 is the bigger room but smaller than an American hotel room and is right at the corner of Rainbow Street. Enjoyed going to Sessions for beverage (just below the room) and the convenience of the kitchen across the hall. The room has hooks on both sides for hanging clothes (no drawers), a mini coffee maker with pods, hot pot, microwave, and mini fridge, very hot shower 👍. Although small… We didn’t spend much time in the room so that wasn’t a big deal. It’s right above restaurants and near pubs so one night was fairly noisy but the remaining three were fairly quiet. Greatly appreciated the staff quick response time & friendliness. No elevator/lift so good to pack light🙂 and 100% can drink water from the tap.
