Easy airport hotel with self check in! Loved the location and comfortable rooms. The only downside was a band was playing somewhere nearby that could be heard from our room until 1:30am!
Lovely property. Very comfortable. Free hot beverages was an added bonus.

Extremely clean - comfortable bed. Great location and within walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. Shared kitchen which was also clean. Basic accommodations for the day after and prior to our flights! I’d stay here again.
This property was spotless! Very updated bathrooms and never had to wait. Easy self check in. Nice restaurants near by and the waterfront is an easy less than 5 minute walk. Very Close to airport. I would definitely stay here again.
We chose this place because we wanted a room to wait out our layover of about 20 hours close to the airport. It was a hostel type accommodation that was warm and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. We had a private room with shared bathrooms. Everything was super clean and there was a nice lounge to make food and if necessary. We enjoyed our time there!
A simple and clean space to stay. 7 mins walk to the bus stop where bus 55 will take you to the airport for 650 isk in 8 minutes. Once every two hours only. Check out the bus website for route and schedule. Free food left by travellers help you save.
We arrived late. Instructions for check-in were easy. Room and property were clean. We did not encounter any staff, which, was sort of nice. We stayed at two 4 star hotels on our vacation. The Blue Viking was far better than both. Better beds and cleaner. Was sort of like staying at your Aunts house. If I revisit Iceland, I would definitely stay again. Thank you for your patience with all my questions.

Good budget option for a last night on Iceland, no frills. Bathrooms are shared, so only go there if you can tolerate that. The family room was a bit warm. The place was very clean, though, also (perhaps because it was not filled to capacity) the shared facilities. Our door was a little noisy at first, but luckily, the reception had WD-40... One minor nuisance: the curtain rods kept disassembling whenever you wanted to adjust the curtain.
This experience was a little different in that we never met any staff at the facility. They leave you a key in a lockbox which was easy to use. The bathrooms are not in the hotel room. They are in a different hallway but each private and VERY clean. We didn't really mind it at all. Our room had a weird slant on one side so we kept bumping our heads on the ceiling there, as the head of our beds were on that slant side too. The hallways can get noisy when people are walking through as we were on the second floor and the kitchen/coffee area was also on the second floor. But it was convenient to stay there to be there for an early morning flight out of KEF the next morning.
Conveniently located, not far from a bus stop, shopping and dining area. Small town, but worth visiting.
Bathrooms were super clean and the beds were some of the comfiest we have slept in during our trip through Iceland.
Absolutely perfect for a family before flying early the next day. Kids loved the free hot chocolates. The individual showers were clean and the room was perfect. Thank you!
