The chalet is so cozy and welcoming with a great view of the mountain and beautiful landscape. We showed up late as we were coming from Picton but Jane was looking out for us to give us a warm welcome to her property. Highly recommended to stay here.

John and Jane was the best host during our 2 weeks trip in South Island. They were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The chalet was clean, tidy, comfortable with a great view too. Jane provided an additional mattress for my teen son, which he preferred compared to a sofa bed. Thank you Jane and John for your hospitality, it made our stay that much more enjoyable.

A private little gem just out of Riwaka. If you like to wake hearing the birds sing and look out over a tranquil view of mountains and sea, this is the place for you. Three lovely chalets set among the trees on the owners property. Very comfortable bed, nice settee and all other amenities in the chalet for a restful self contained stay. We loved it. Your hosts Jane and John are friendly, helpful, but not intrusive.

Beautiful rooms on a beautiful property. Hosts were two of the nicest people you’ll meet. Easily our favourite stay out of the many so far here in New Zealand.

Great place to stay! Excelent room in a serene location with views of the hills and valley. The property has beautiful grounds filled with many types of fruit trees and flower gardens. Helpful, friendly hosts.

Restful Riwaka hills
Very well maintained in a quiet, rural setting. John & Jane are very friendly and informative and work very hard on the grounds and unit.Highly recommended! Go to the Riwaka Hotel for a good meal and visit the Riwaka Resurgence!

Lovely chalet, close to the beach and town. Awesome views to wake up to and enjoy a morning coffee. Chalet was well appointed with essentials, heaps of parking outside your room. Great place to get away from the hustle & bustle to enjoy a bit of peace & quiet. Jane, John and Izzy were excellent hosts!

The chalets are basic one room (with bed, kitchen, dining table and lounge) and separate nice modern shower. They are located in a very pleasant rural property with surrounding orchards and a great view. The owner was friendly and helpful. It had all we needed. We'd stay there again.

There were mice living in the chalet but Jane notified us ahead so we could cancel if we wished, also once there she offered to swap the room we were staying in. I will definetly be staying here again. Lovely couple, lovely situation. Mice were in the process of being evicted while we were staying, I didn't mind them at all being from the country myself.

Can’t say enough about this lovely property! Amidst a lot of craziness with travel changes in light of a pandemic, this property was an oasis of beauty and calm. Jane couldn’t have been more accommodating. We can’t recommend Terraced Chalets highly enough and would love to come back when the world returns to normal.

Terraced Chalets is just a beautiful tranquil place to stay. The chalet is very comfortable with everything you could need. We loved the front deck and being able to sit outside either with our morning cuppa or evening wine to appreciate the wonderful view out over the Riwaka Valley.

Stay here! Joan and John are simply the best. There are 3 units overlooking the beautiful surrounding landscape, so make sure to book early since space may run out! Each unit is its own freestanding structure with parking right in front. We’ve stayed at ~7 similar places and this one was by far the nicest! Sparkling clean too. Very convenient for heading over to Abel Tasman as well.

Peaceful, comfortable stay
Fabulous self contained cabin set in beautiful gardens with great views of the surrounding mountains and sea. Comfortable and spacious with all required amenities. Conveniently located a short drive to shops and restaurants in Motueka. Host were very welcoming and helpful. Would stay again.

Perfect self contained cottage
The couple who run these cottages are very nice. It is a nice place to look out in the valley and relax on the porch.

Terraced chalets
Highly recommend a stay at the terraced chalets. They are a very short drive away from both Motueka and Kaiteriteri up a long quiet road. It was bliss from the moment we got out of the car to have a view over the countryside, out of phone reception but so close to town still (don’t worry the wifi works perfectly). The chalets themselves are well thought out and placed to provide privacy from one another. All amenities inside were fantastic, everything we needed for a few days, we loved being able to sit on our deck in the evening to have a drink. The shower was a bit variable in pressure and temperature but I’d say this can’t really be controlled - seemed to be when people in the other chalets were also using water. The heat pump was useful for airconditioning as it was lovely and hot while we were there. The hosts were warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed having a chat with both of them and of course patting the dog! Some great recommendations of places to eat in the information folder in the room. We can’t wait to come back at some point in the future.

Great spot! Very warm, welcoming hosts who were very accommodating to our particular situation. Quiet location, with lovely views. Also have hot plate amenities for cooking, which we didn't realise until we arrived. Pity we only have one night booked, but would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to visit Abel Tasman park
I spent 2 nights in the chalet and it was great. Very quiet, private and surrounded by beautiful nature. The chalet is very well equipped, modern bathroom, comfortable bed and everything is clean. The host Jane was very welcoming, knows the area well amd can give tips. This is 10 minutes away from Kaiteriteri so is perfect to visit the Abel Tasman park.

Warm welcome and superb Abel Tasman location.
This place could not have been better; from the very warm welcome, to the view, the calm and the amenities, it was perfect. We would have loved to have stayed longer if we had had time.

A bit of heaven in New Zealand
Amazing views await you in this well kept and clean chalet. Very nice gas grill to cook on while enjoying the sunset over the Tasman Bay. My wife and I wish we could have stayed here longer. A must stay on anyone's adventure to New Zealand! Picking some of the grapes on the property was a real treat.

Wunderschön gelegen
Sehr schön gelegen in mitten einer Obstplantage. Sehr nette Gastgeber und unsere Kinder waren ganz begeistert von Hund Izzy. Das Chalet war sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Schlafsofa für die Kinder war leider nicht sehr bequem, ansonsten aber alles andere top!!!

Excellent accommodation in a fantastic location.
The chalets are in a great position overlooking the countryside and within an easy drive to the entrance to the Abel Tasman park. Accommodation was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Friendly owners made us feel really welcome. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Nice spot with a view. Everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and quiet indivdual units. 5 min drive to town for eats.

Fantastic hosts
Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Host was very friendly & took the time to enquire about reason for stay. Super clean & a fantastic quiet spot. We may be back again next year for the Kaiteriteri Gold Run.

Great accommodation close to Abel Tasman
Stayed a couple of nights whilst visiting Abel Tasman. Great accommodation with loads of amenitities and a comfy bed. Would stay again if in the area

A lovely peacefully cottage in the country.
Well maintained cottage in the quiet country side. Hosts were very pleasant. All aspects well maintained. Spacious and comfortable. Nice to sit on balcony and look over the country side below.
