โThis is a fabulous small and unique boutique hotel in a great location and setting. The plane tree in the square is magnificent. The Cathedral and other main attractions are close, the whole area very walkable.
The basement lounge and bar is very well designed, relaxing and a great asset. Great staff!โ
โI went there with my mum and it was really comfortable to stay. And the breakfast was the best one Iโve ever had at hotel. They also gave information about Bath with the map, too. โ
โThe hotel staff was extremely hospitable. The breakfast that was bought with the room was simply fantastic (in most hotel it is an overprice affair; here it was excellent, varied and plentiful). The restaurant staff was also extremely helpful and equally hospitable.
The rooms were interestingly decorated and comfortable but also different from the typical bland hotel rooms.
The hotel offers many uniquely attractive features that we enjoyed it very much.
Overall a great and fun experience. โ
โIt was such a treat to stay here. The staff were delightful. It was wonderful to learn that Bluestocking Elizabeth Montagu used to live at No 16. What an impressive history the house has.โ
โBeautiful little boutique hotel! Renovations are still ongoing but has no impact on the stay. Alex, the greeter, was full of valuable information including history and restaurant recs. Would absolutely stay here again!โ
โWe stayed in the hotel during the heat wave, so without the AC the room was quite warm, however manageable. Please mind the old style stairs in the building, may be challenging with heavy luggage. Otherwise the place was excellent for us. The breakfast is the best!โ
โThe hotel is perfectly located for both the Theatre Royal and Ustinov Theatre as you can walk to either in about thirty seconds! There are also numerous bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the immediate area.
Despite being centrally located, I didn't hear any noise from outside at all.
My room was quite compact but very comfortable, the shower was great as was the bed.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
