레이크산책로, 놀이터가 가까워서 아이들 놀기에 편했어요~ 조식은 평범했으나 풍경은 아름다웠습니다. 체크인 후 룸에 갔는데 새깃털이 있었어요. 컴플레인은 하지 않았습니다. 침대는 편안했습니다. 수건을 요청했는데 오지 않아서 정리중인 메이드에게 받았습니다. 수영장은 차갑고 좀 관리가 안된는 느낌이네요. 로비에서 주는 아이스크림이 맛있어요! 호텔은 좀 낡았지만 가족여행으로는 괜찮았습니다

it is such a nice hotel but too old . I satisfy with the servicing but not a condition . this hotel needs renovation.

뉴질랜드 도착하자마자 렌트빌려서 로토루아에 바로 갔어요 가는데 거의 24시간 가까이 걸렸고 시차적응, 운전적응 매우 피곤했어요 하지만 호텔직원들이 매우 친절했고, 이미 한국에서 결제하고 갔는데 제가 저녁늦게 도착하여 예약된방이 없어졌다며 스위트룸을 받았습니다 저희 8, 10살 남자아이들 들어가자마자 너무 좋아했고, 프라이빗스파와 수영장에서도 잘놀았어요 또한 호텔바로옆에 걸어서 시내와 폴리네시안스파, 거버먼트가든, 강가등 모든게 다있었고 투어로 아그로돔이나 레인보우스프링스등등도 차로 가까이 있었어요 정말 잘이용해서 꼭꼭 다시가고싶어요

The worst experience at Rotorua Novot
During the trip, he used Novotel, including Oakland Airport and Sydney Airport, but had the worst experience at Rotorua Novotel. I never used a minibar, but it was paid New Zealand $12 for it. It's a small sum, but I feel bad. When we checked out, the Novotel employee charged us $12 for coke and cider that we did not use. We said we had never used it and the staff agreed with our story. Suddenly, 12 dollars was spent on credit cards and it was reported that two $6 water was used. We stayed here for two nights and did not use water. I also wonder if there was water in the minibar. Didn't they charge us for water that wasn't originally offered? I went out to buy water at 12 a.m. on Jan. 6 and closed the door and asked Novotel front staff where the water was available. She was even told to drink tap water in toilet because New Zealand water was clean. I want to talk to the employee at the time of checkout.

Stay at this hotel for two nights. Bad hotel experience for a family vacation. Room was very small and the bathroom was really worn out. This hotel seriously needs renovation if they want to charge customers what they are charging now. Had to pay extra money for Wifi. Some staff was friendly but there was also very rude staff, too. I want to believe that it was not the staff's intention, but I almost felt like the staff was rude because I am a foreigner and my English is not good enough. It was a very upsetting experience and ruined family vacation for the whole day. The location is the only good thing about this hotel. I really don't understand why it is a 4+ star hotel at all. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Good for family trip with kids
Excellent for family trip with kids Good restraurant with reasonable pricing with kids free bufeet when I was there. My kids enjoyed Spa and inside pool every evening.

The only positive about this hotel is its location. The entire place probably hasn’t been refurbished since the 90s. Extremely dated and dirty. My cup had a lipstick mark on it. The tap was leaking. For a 4.5 star, it literally provided nothing - no bottled water, toothbrush, slippers etc. Nothing. King bed room did not provide a king bed, though they insisted it was a King in NZ (lol). It was most likely a double, at most (and very barely) a Queen. The pillows were old, flat and overall felt yuck. Worst experience ever.

It's Novotel! I expected a better service.. The stay is good - A comfy bed, nice complimentary breakfast.. No complaints there. But the carpet was dusty and stained.. Poor entertainment options on the TV. It's mentioned that we would be able to connect our phone to the Chromecast in TV. But it didn't work at all. A small microwave oven would have been pretty useful to the visitors. For the price being charged, it's just an ordinary room.

Extremely noisy with bar over the road playing loud music until 1am and hotel scissor lift operating on exterior of building before 7am. A notice in room notified of exterior painting but not of noise and certainly we we not noticed prior to getting to room. Good location close to waterfront and restaurants. Parking is limited at hotel but free in nearby street. Hotel entrance confusing with exit blocked off and you need to reverse out from under reception veranda

Novotel is situated in a convenient location, with proximity to Rotorua Lake and Eat Streat. We stayed in two superior deluxe. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were friendly, especially the housekeeping team. Good facilities and amenities, although the building is not quite sound proof and the doors are quite heavy and big bangs heard across the corridor. The bathrooms are dated and our tap was quite hard to turn on/off. Pillows are in need to urgent replacement. Other than these small details to be look at, our stay were enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent with good presentation, choices and quality. Praises to the breakfast team for their hardwork and dedication. Will return for sure!

Hotel is in need of a bit of refresh but overall clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We had our toddler with us and had some safety concerns. The shower mixer was loose and when we turn it on, it fell on to my toddler’s hand and cut his finger. It was only a small minor cut so we shrugged it off. The most concerning part was the windows in the room- there were two parts that were screwed on to joinery to prevent the windows from opening. One of them had a screw missing and my toddler managed to shimmy it off. Luckily the part at the top was still secure. The screws were very short and it really needs to be longer for strength. Reported to reception who got it fixed straight away. We read last year about a boy fell from a hotel floor as the glass panel was missing from a balcony so needless to say we did get a fright when our toddler easily detached a window safety device.

It is looking a bit dated and worn.The shower in a bath is not the best when over 80yrs of age. Comfortable beds. Expected "secure" parking. To me, we paid for "street" parking - disappointed. Enjoyed the breakfasts.

Warm and friendly staff, great location very close to town and Eat Street. Rooms were old, bathrooms in need of updating with showers over baths and shower curtains still being used. TV channels kept cutting out and glitching. Uncomfortable beds, very soft. I don't think the room was worth the price. Breakfast buffet a bit disappointing. Nice gym, pools ok.
