"Very centrally located area with great access to public transportation and very close to shopping district, parks, zoo and so many other places. I would give it 5 starts if it wasn’t for having to climb multiple sets of stairs to access my room. It would also be great to be able to control the room’s temperature. "

"Nice enough hotel in a very good location for all public transport links. Good size restaurant so no queueing for breakfast which was plentiful and well laid out. There’s a hospital nearby so sirens are regular if you are the street side. There’s no AC so sleeping with the window option comes with consequences. The quilt we had smelled and had stains on it but given how warm it was we only used the quilt cover anyway."
"Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, especially Sarah on reception, and Seif in the evening restaurant/bar. Breakfasts exceptional. Meals in restaurant very good. Liked availability of drinking water around the hotel.
Would recommend this hotel and definately stay again when next in London.
Cannot think of any dislikes"
"The team at the Standard are what makes it a truly exceptional hotel. I was in London recently for a short visit and when my plans changed they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. Special acknowledgement goes to Nathan on the front desk for all of his work! "
"Very convenient to everything, ie transportation, pharmacy, food, clothing. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bed in superior individual room was wonderfully comfortable.
Liked all the tech outlets. Only issue was in the bathroom. Looked like rust or dirt around some of the floor attachments. Very busy hotel but they seemed to handle that well. Would love to stay there again."
