Super friendly hosts, wonderful locally sourced food. Very quiet and peaceful in a beautiful country side setting. My highest recommendation!

Outdoor pool is heated. Property is right next to ocean and easy to walk to local restaurants. Note that you should make reservations in advance for the local restaurants as they are small and can be full.

Absolutely stunning. Quiet, beautiful grounds (friendly grounds keeper, Lee). Very welcoming staff, anything you needed. Rooms spectacular. Felt very much in the French countryside. Would have stayed for at least 2 nights maybe 3 to enjoy the property and spend time exploring the beaches and small towns. Highly recommend. Loved our time.

While hotel experience was very positive, Expedia experience was not so great.

I was delayed and wouldn't arrive at the hotel until after 10:00pm. I had not had dinner and called to see if they had a restaurant and if it would be open when I arrived. They informed me that it would be closed at 10:00pm but they would have a salad for me when I arrived. After I checked in they brought a fantastic salad to my room that far exceeded my expectations. Amazing stay from start to finish. The staff was absolutely awesome—friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my entire stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re visiting Normandy to see the D-Day sites. Everything I wanted to visit was easily accessible from the hotel. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Hotel Le Sainte Mère and will definitely be back soon. Five stars all the way!

Beautiful property located 5 minutes from the city of Bayeux. This city has some nice reasonable priced places to eat, the famous tapestry that is 70 feet and a large cathedral. D day beaches about 30 minutes away max and of course the museums. Utah,Omaha,Point du hoc. Prices on site are very high but if you don't mind driving into town it's not a problem. Front desk gentlemen when we checked in spoke good English and was very accommodating.

The Hotel Chateau de Bellefontaine truly lives up to its reputation. Our taxi entered through the iron gate into a relaxing environment. We were greeted by a flock of ducks, geese and swans. Seating provided postcard views of the grounds and distant church steeples. We were greeted as if family coming for a visit. After a brief check-in we were taken to our room on the top floor. What is there not to like about Le Clos. Steps away from Omaha beach. About a mile or two from the American cemetery. D-day history everywhere. A very nice place to stay, quiet, clean and secluded. Fresh homemade pastries in the morning. The only negative is that darn rooster in the morning, which was not their fault. Caroline and her husband did everything to help us on our trip. They gave us maps, information for nice restaurants, and other things to do for the 75th anniversary of D-day. ...

The property is beautifully landscaped, full of flowers. The themed rooms are clever: I stayed in the room called “Dog Tags”. The sport shower is awesome! You can add a breakfast, charmingly served in a metal footlocker. You get a thermos of hot coffee, hot milk, orange juice, cold milk, petits pots de yaourt, baguettes, croissants, butter and jam. The property is located next door to the Overlord Museum and walking distance to the American Cemetery.

What a gem we were so fortunate to find at the last minute! Wonderful service and so beautiful!! Easy drives to the Omaha Beach museum and memorials. Breakfast was very tasty. We wished we had another night to spend to enjoy more time here. A great place for a family of four.

Great large room that is very, very clean. Excellent location! Very quiet and very quaint. Easy walk to the downtown and there you will find fantastic restaurants and amble shopping. Staff here are very helpful. Great location for those seeing the WWll beaches or even a day trip to Mont St Michele. We wanted to stay longer!!
