Lovely friendly couple who run the place and gave us a great breakfast mainly of home made things. Very nicely decorated (not surprising as she was an interior designer before she retired to the SouthWest of France) and extremely welcome swimming pool.

Wonderful hosts made us welcome and able to give lots of information about the area. Delicious breakfast, swimming pool and donkeys! The bedroom was comfortable with lovely views to the donkey enclosure. Clean, modern bathroom with small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Air conditioning not effective unfortunately and outside cooking facilities require updating - lacking basic utensils and cleaning equipment- not a problem for a short stay but may be an issue for longer stays.

great stay at a quiet oasis

Our Hosts were wonderful, great bonhomie, offering a superb breakfast and conversation. The double room, which is reached via its own outside door, was clean and comfortable, the bathroom a good size and the shower powerful and controllable across the full temperature range. The pool was clean and well maintained. The room had air conditioning, good wifi, but was decorated in a charming arts & craft style with plenty of object d'art and pictures rather than the bare walls of a hotel. Outside the room had its own little terrace with somewhere to sit and relax. I'd thoroughly recommend this to any couple who are looking for somewhere to stay that is not only well placed for exploring the area, but that will also form a memorable part of the visit in its own right.

The garden & the views are wonderful with a marvellous, large swimming pool but what really makes this property outstanding are the charming owners. They were hugely kind & helpful, really going “the extra mile”.

Wonderful character residence in the Dordogne.

Hosts were awesome. Great local knowledge for day trips. Excellent breakfast, almost all home made. Definitely recommend anyone to stay with Martine and Jean Paul.

The property was beautiful and our room unique. We had a wonderful French breakfast and a very enjoyable time speaking with the owner, Martine. The grounds were quite pleasant and the bathroom was spacious with a tub and separate shower.

Homely stay with lovely people

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts. They are extremely helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the location and the comfort of our room. We had a lovely breakfast each morning, which was delicious and plentiful.

La gentillesse et la partage font oublier ce désag

Beaucoup de charme, propriétaire très accueillant avec petit déjeuner commun, dommage que la chambre n’ait pas été aérée, je pense que c’est la première location de l’année et ça sentait fort le renfermé, maintenant n’ayez pas peur des singes, présents partout en déco dans la chambre

Belle surprise

Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires dans une magnifique demeure et un cadre bucolique. Chambre propre , confortable et calme. Le petit déjeuner est généreux et excellent. Sehr angenehmes Chambre d'hôtes

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort wohl. La Gabarie ist ein Paradis, welches wir wärmstens empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich und funktionell eingerichtet, es hat nichts gefehlt. Die Gastgeber sind ganz wunderbar, aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir wurden wie gute Freunde empfangen. Das Frühstück ist ganz hervorragend und wir haben den tollen Swimmingpool benutzen können. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Gîte au calme dans la campagne, des chambres originales dans la déco, une grande salle de bain moderne avec douche et baignoire, un très grand jardin avec une belle piscine : appréciable avec les fortes chaleurs.
