"Poor. I don’t usually write reviews, I booked this hotel as I have stayed in Hyatt’s around the world, this is by far the worst. Staff poorly trained, trying to order room service on the phone was impossible as they didn’t understand. The pool was dirty. Staff more concerned with the Ramadan buffet guests who are not staying at the hotel rather than their actual guests. Alcohol is also an issue here, we asked for a bottle of wine to take to our room and we were present with it in a black bag like it was contraband!! Serve alcohol or don’t, but don’t make western guests feel guilty for ordering something on the menu. Finally the rooms are poor, clearly not upgraded since the 80’s, there is however a refurbishment program underway which is long overdue. "
"There is constant noise pollution and rooms are not sound proof.
The rooms are in need of a makeover and serious deep clean. Areas such as the bathroom shower had green buildup and toilet seats were beige in color from age.
Two of the major issues that I encountered in my two week long stay at the property was poor wifi service and inconsistent hot water availability. These are major problems that the hotel management needs to address."
"beautiful hotel with a nice view. large balcony and friendly staff. its in the jungle and you can breathe the fresh air. wish we can stay longer. maybe some other time .."
"I booked 3 rooms in this hotel for me and my sisters…we asked all 3 rooms to be on the same level and it’s no problem at all for the hotel…we had nice time and all the staff are very friendly and polite. We had a ‘bit’ of confusion at the end of our stay but Ken, the duty manager on the day had explained the confusion and he handled the minor incident very professionally. Thank you, Ken…you are an asset for Jambuluwuk Hotel Malioboro for your outstanding hospitality! All our rooms are clean and always have all the amenities. Nice location as it’s near Malioboro! Highly recomended for all of you who wants to visit Yogyakarta with your family."
