"Amoa is just a magic place they make you feel like family. From the check in lady's, to Joe and Joshua our resort attendants to the amazing Henry our go to man, we thank you and miss you already. We will be back! The resort is stunning and reckon one of the best on Savai'i (the real Samoa)."
"I recommend having a electric generator for the electricity. When we got to the resort we were shown one room before the electricity went off. We couldn't use our phone to call and to do Facebook because the power was down. The water was slow as well.
It would be so great if we have one in place in times of emergencies.
Other than that, it was great. Beautiful view with friendly and helpful staff.
I will definitely recommend it to friends and families"
"Staff were friendly and helpful - they very kindly organised dinner for me, and I was the only one in the restaurant but portion sizes were great and well priced. Room was very basic but clean, has strong AC and hot water.
It wasn’t the quietest hotel in the evening but its proximity to the airport was what I needed, and I had a very early start anyway. Airport transfer was included in my room rate which was great!"
"They were in the process of finalising some renovations so my room was very new and I really loved it - all the staff were kind, welcoming and always making sure I had everything I needed.
The grounds were beautiful and well kept, the beach was stunning and they have onsite parking which was very useful.
I am lactose intolerant and the restaurant had alternative milk on site which I was very grateful for."
"If you’re looking for an authentic Samoan experience in an idyllic location, Vaimoana delivers. We stayed one night in an open beach fale and one night in a regular room. The fales share restroom and shower facilities, which is typical, and they were perfectly fine. The regular room had its own facilities. The room was basic but very clean and adequate, and we enjoyed relaxing on the porch which looked out over the water. The beach area is beautiful, with plenty of shade trees and chairs, and a protected cove for swimming. The restaurant is excellent and we had some very good meals there. They change all the table decor for every meal, which is evidence of how they go above and beyond. The restaurant and lounge area are very inviting and spacious. The service was outstanding in every way. The property is well-maintained, and a masseuse from a nearby village came to provide a massage. It is not a high-end resort, but it is beautiful and provided exactly what we were hoping for in an authentic experience. It is a lovely place to stay."
"Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel that I booked it 3 times while visiting family and wanting to get away from family 😉😂getting in “me” time when I could.
The staff were amazing and friendly, and the whole place felt relaxing and comfortable from the moment I arrived. Reception ladies were excellent and got me an early check in at 12, they went above and beyond. The bar guys were awesome who served great cocktails & fantastic service with a smile 😊
The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was beautiful & the beach view to die for. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting."
"Titi was so friendly and welcoming. She made us the best food we ate in Samoa. Yes the accomodation and facilities were basic but hearing the waves lapping just a few meters from where we slept paradise. Beautiful area to swim and even had turtles pop up to say hi. Would go back for sure it really is paradise"
