Mariposa del Sol

"Cliff notes: This place was a breath of fresh air. Everything from parking, the front desk being so helpful, the accommodations, the housing itself and location. More detailed: I parked right out front of the Mariposa and didn't need a decal or anything. The front desk staff was so warm and helpful. They speak multiple languages which helped me as my Spanish is just ok. This was such a nice change as many places prior to were not so welcoming. Our room overlooked both the pool and a mountain AND you could see the coast in the distance. Perfect! The room had a kitchenette, refrigerator, stove cookware etc. we were walking distance to a grocery store to get everything for our stay. AC worked great. Beds were nothing special . We were also walking distance to multiple beaches.. which we took advantage of. Included is gym access and washing machine .. I want to reiterate just how great the staff was. They really go above to help and this made the experience better. There's also a restaurant which was always quite busy. We didn't eat there but it looked good."

"The highlights of our stay were definitely the food, with both breakfast and dinner being excellent. The large swimming pools with warm water were another fantastic feature and made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. The hotel has made some great improvements, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as having wine glasses in the room and enough amenities provided for all guests. The entertainment throughout the day was absolutely amazing, with plenty to keep everyone entertained and create a lively atmosphere. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the food, facilities, entertainment, and hospitality. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday."

"We spent a fantastic week at this delightful hotel. It has a charming intimate ambiance thanks to its relatively small number of rooms. The staff are so friendly and helpful - . they take the trouble to get to know your likes and dislikes and no request is too much trouble. The hotel is magnificently situated overlooking the south coast from its eyrie on Mont Leon. The pool and terrace are beautifully placed to take the best advantage of its views. There are some well maintained and interesting gardens to explore with discreet areas placed every so often to relax in solitude. There are pool, table tennis, patio chess and table football to entertain if too much relaxation proves difficult! The breakfast buffet was excellent and the evening meal menu was changed every day offering some delicious dishes to explore... and it was a great treat to be able to try all the interesting cocktails on offer during the day as we relaxed by the pool. A truly luxurious and relaxing spa retreat at a very fair price."
