"Room had sticky stuff in the carpet. Breakfast didn’t have very many options. Waffles were good, but cold boiled eggs, bread/toast, yogurt and muffins. No meat, no bagels, and I know it doesn’t have to be extravagant but some kind of meat would have been nice or even warm scrambled eggs. We wanted to use the pool we only booked the room because it said they had a pool. But it was out of service when we got there and she was super nice and said we could still cancel and since we wanted the pool, but it was too late every where was booked full or way out of price range. We booked two month in advance for this and were extremely disappointed. The staff was nice, but if their pool is down they should have that turned off as something we can use. I have paid the same price for big breakfasts, weight room and pool. And no the pool didn’t just happen to go down. It wasn’t up for the season yet. They said they are trying though."

"The Room was very clean, carpet was a little dated but clean, staff was exceptional friendly and professional, breakfast buffet was great with fresh items and an omelette bar. The Luna Restaurant has a great view and the food was ok, however, might need some improvement on the cooking (salmon and chicken both a little overcooked/dry and potatoes undercooked) the spa was nice clean with a great view and everything worked!! Overall a pleasant stay at the Hilton. "

"I will NOT stay here again. There was an issue with my request for a fourth set of towels when I registered my room for 4 people for 5 nights and it resulted in the staff member telling me I was "acting ugly". As a customer, I have never experienced that level of disrespect or insult, nor have I had to argue about a request for a set of towels for EACH of the room's registered guests (they have a towel shortage and wanted me to turn in dirty towels to get the fourth set). It was completely frustrating and not what I'm accustomed to as a customer in the hospitality industry! Additionally we had a couple of service issues with housekeeping that may be due to language barriers. To be fair, the manager later apologized for the "acting ugly" experience, resolved it and offered a service recovery discount, which I appreciated. However, there are too many hotel options in Houston, TX for me to ever give my money to this LaQuinta again. Everything else at the hotel was fine (room size, breakfast, cleanliness) with the exception that there was very little air circulation in the gym. "
