An incredibly beautiful spot where one is completely ensconced in nature and the ocean. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly. Dining options were very good, with many local options.

An amazing get away. Away from everything. It is a bit isolated but I personally loved that. It has a private beach, restaurant, and bar. The rooms and views are stunning.

fantastic property, at a reasonable driving distance from San Juan del sur, and near 2 beautiful beaches. has its own de facto private beach, which is amazing. super friendly staff, excellent restaurant. the setting is exceptional: my room was isolated in the hill, with a private pool and had incredible views in all directions. would definitely return.

Amazing views, nice private beach and not a lot of people which makes it relaxing. Getting to the place is a bit rough; need to drive around 10km of dirt road. I understand the eco thing going on but, very little privacy in the rooms and extremely noisy at night and in the morning due to the insects and birds. Staff is very friendly!

Beautiful and quiet place to be close to nature and relax. Only consideration is that you need to be able to climb some serious stairs to get to some of the cabins, so if you have issues with this, better to ask the staff before reserving.

Magnificent

There are sextrillion stars in the universe, more than every grain of sand on earth, I would give them all to this Eco lodge. Morgan's Rock is the best Eco lodge in Nicaragua for those who are seeking peace and quiet and unique. I want to express a special mention about the staff. The staff members service is exquisite. The passion of their work is reflected through the smile they all have. I'm beyond grateful and privileged to experience their lovely work. Morgan's Rock without that kind of staff would be like any other place.

Excellent balance of luxury and immersion in nature. Key things to know: stunning beach where we never saw more than 2 other guests, the cabanas are open to the wind and sounds of nature but the way they are secured with screens and sealed doors resulted in zero insect visitors (and the wind and cooling unit over the bed provided for a very comfortable temp), and there will be a need to traverse many steps throughout the day. Lastly, the views here are unlike anything we’ve experienced before. If you want a stunning tropical sunset then you can’t do better than Morgan’s Rock

This was the most incredible place I’ve ever been! Everything was absolutely perfect! I even popped my tire and they took it to town and fixed it. They gave us rides when it was raining. The set up th most amazing tours! The rooms. The views. Everything perfect!

Morgans Rock was one of the two hotels I had researched. I wanted to get away from the crowds, be out in nature and Morgans Rock fit. Choosing Morgans Rock turned out to be a good decision. I arranged roundtrip airport transportation through the lodge, and the driver was waiting for us with cold water. The property was very well landscaped and between the size of the property and private beach the place felt very exclusive. I booked Villa #2 for my mother and me so that we could have our own spaces and still be close. Each villa was a mirror image of the other and had an outdoor deck/ seating and a plunge pool. The rooms were like large studios with their own entry, sitting area, and a bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers. A few issues we ran into were: the locks on the doors were faulty, there was water leaking from the ceiling, and the thatched roofs had holes that let rain in. Despite these issues, the staff did an amazing job of making up for them. The bartenders made good drinks and had great conversations. The lodge has Spa and tour services available onsite with an amazing masseuse and tour guide. Even with the needed improvements the place was very nice and enjoyable.

The property is simply massive and out in the jungle. The hotel is on its own private bay and the rooms have incredible views. The sunsets were epic. And the staff went above and beyond every day I was there with an amazing attitude and a smile. I am a spoiled and discerning traveler and I stay at a lot of Aman, Banyan Tree, Ritz Carlton’s etc. This is an ecolodge so you will find some things are a little different but after spending 7 days here with my wife I can really say I had a special experience at Morgan’s Rock. It’s a unique place that the owners care for with love and the desire to share it with others. There are monkeys, sloths and all kinds of amazing animals also. I never write reviews but in a world saturated with luxury Oceanside hotels my experience there was special and worth writing about. Definitely a place to relax.

Wir haben 2 Nächte in 2 verschiedenen Lodges verbracht. No 1 Forest Lodge (Fantastisch Easy Access) No 9 mit wunderschönen Aussicht aufs Meer und Atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergang. Das Personal sowie auch die Besitzer (Familie Ponçon) sind extrem gastfreundlich. Für uns ist es sicher der Beste Aufenthalt in Nigaragua und wir werden sicher wieder zurückkommen

Tuve un accidente en el cuarto me caí debido a que no hay seguridad e n la caída me lastime mi brazo y mi rodilla,en fin fue una experiencia terrible el camino es pura tierra llenas de piedras duras más de una hora en llegar al hotel desde la carretera principal al hotel. Reporte mi caída el día que llegue y no se preocuparon como estaba hasta el día siguiente

The surrounding natural area is fabulous, 3 kinds of monkeys, sloths, owls, raccoons, all easy to spot all over the property. Views are stunning. If you love nature, you’ll love it here. Food/drinks excellent and tour guides are informative and interesting. Shout out to Andy! Horseback ride was a blast, one of the best I’ve ever been on and I’ve been on plenty

Great place! Must go!

Great views! Very clean and modern. Eco lodge that offers a lot and lots of comfort! Staff was friendly and helpful. Even brought room service when I wasn’t feeling well. One of the most spectacular views of the sunset I have seen! The country is very safe but even if you were concerned this is sooo off the beaten track and self sustainable - I would go now while it’s still affordable.
