However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). Daily breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very kind and accommodating. ”

“Short walk to Monteverde reserve. It is really peaceful and has a beautiful patio where you can watch wildlife. Can easily catch a bus to get into town, but is more isolated and peaceful compared to the busy town. Saw monkeys and toucans on the walk to the reserve. ”

“This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer.”

“Beautiful boutique hotel. Only 6 rooms. each individually decorated . Owner chef welcoming and very personable. Amazing tasting meal available as well as regular menu. Enjoy the included family style breakfast (for hotel guests only) while you watch Toucans at the feeders. Highly recommend stopping at Gingerbred!”

Unser Zimmer (Nr. 4) hatte glücklicherweise drei Betten denn sonst hätten wir gar keine Ablagemöglichkeiten gehabt. Einen Spiegel gibt es nur in dem sehr kleinen Badezimmer, das ebenfalls keinerlei Ablagen hat. Das klingt jetzt etwas negativ, soll aber nur den Zustand realistisch beschreiben.
