Very welcoming and accommodating property. Clean, eco-friendly and quiet rooms. Highly recommended especially for those on a budget (though be sure to drop by soon -- renovation is underway and this hidden gem could become more lucrative an attraction).

I liked this small hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are nicely kept. Its very quiet and easily walkable to downtown, and beyond. The innkeeper, Jerry is friendly and helpful. Thanks. Will be staying again!

Very well designed efficient room, small but everything was there (coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, enough and well placed electrical outlets). Staff very nice and well organized despite ongoing construction (they sent email with very clear check in and parking instructions. it is near the university so it's a very safe and lively area! Definitely recommend!

Even though I had to check in quite late, Jerry’s communication ensured that I was able to retrieve my room key and get into my room safely. The room itself was nice and quiet, and I was able to settle in comfortably.

Nice place!
Very nice location, furnishings- super nice staff, walkable to restaurants, easy check out. Would have been perfect if the stomping people upstairs and the loud talkers next door had let us sleep, but guess that's Saturday night in a college town ;)

Warm welcome, very clean and comfortable accommodation with good facilities. Thank you. Easy walk to good restaurants. We had v good meal at Flour, nice coffee in trendy Kreuzberg and burger at Big Sky cafe.

This property was perfect for a quick work related trip. Jerry was extremely helpful and kind and even assisted with carrying my luggage upstairs after he learned I have bad knees. Check in was so easy and the location is convenient and close to downtown. I like that they offer Netflix. The cons are there are no elevators (bad knees) and the bed was softer than I prefer but the pillows were good. This is a quaint small property. I had no issues or concerns and would stay here again.

Jerry is super nice. Easy check-in and check-out. Room was practical and clean. Mattress not that great but we stayed only one night so not a big deal for us. We also brought our own pillow. Microwave and fridge with freezer useful. The only down side is the traffic of Monterey street. You get directly to 101 highway which is probably why it's so busy.

The staff could not have been more helpful. I don't know about anybody else, but I've been to plenty of hotels where they don't honor the Do Not Disturb sign. Happy to say, Sunbeam did! They helped us get replacement keys and check in late. The hotel is quaint and very SLO. I liked it.. it was like being at home.

I had a single room and it would have been a bit cramped for 2 people but perfect for me. Very clean, good bed, hot shower, lots of towels. I would certainly return.

Our stay started off with the friendliest staff member checking us in that I’ve ever encountered at any hotel property. The room may not be the biggest, but it was clean, renovated, had a coffee maker, microwave, and good-sized fridge. Very close to the freeway, but not close enough to hear any traffic noise. Nice being in SLO, while still just minutes away from Pismo Beach and Morro Bay.

Small, clean, basic room. I appreciated the in-room microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. There's no lobby, but the front desk person was friendly, and available by phone.

Small, basic room. Clean, well-lit. all appliances, heater/AC worked perfectly. Nice hot water in shower with adequate pressure. There is some traffic noise into late evening,. But otherwise a great option to crash for a night without busting your wallet!
