Staff is very nice and helpful but communication is slow via email or Expedia messages. If you are coming by train, make sure to make arrangements for transportation before hand as it was pretty desolate. The marina close by has options for shopping and delicious restaurants."

Two negatives - firstly if you could move it about 2km towards the town of Sant’Agata di Militello then you could easily reach the bars and restaurants. "A great place to escape from the hustle bustle lifestyle. Tranquil peaceful setting is our first impression, followed by the friendliness of the staff. Room we had was one of the worst with no view and right next to a construction site. But this did not stop us from enjoying the well kept grounds and the infinity pool overlooking the Aeolian islands. Breakfast is adequate with plenty of savory and sweet choices. But dinner menu was limited with very few local fares. Gym is dark and outdated. Almost like an afterthought. There are signs of construction throughout the property and hopefully that means some pleasant surprises in the near future. "
