"I loved my room and the rooftop. I loved the optional food and drink options at Sawmill Market. I loved the hotel’s proximity to Old Town.
THE VALET GUY WHO WAS A LARGER GUY WITH NO HAIR AND A BEARD WAS HORRIBLE. Three adults got out of a van with large luggage bags and not one time did he say “hello, can I help you, do you need the luggage cart”. He looked at us and put his head down. He didn’t even get the door. Throughout our stay he was the same. He should not be in a customer service position. Especially if he is the first person your guest will see. We were a group of 24. We arrived at different times and everyone said his response was as I mentioned above.
I’m sorry I can’t remember the names of the staff at the front desk, but they were all awesome my friendly and very helpful. It’s unfortunate that your valet responded to your paying customers the way that he did. It’s also unfortunate that when I share my experience with friends, family and coworkers, I am going to share that experience as well."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown
10/10 Excellent
"This is one of the best LaQuinta properties we have chosen in quite some time. The property is very well kept inside. The outside could use some sprucing up and care. After our room had been cleaned and refreshed, someone, without question, lay on the bed wrinkling the sheet and pillow cases. The desk clerk repeated that it was impossible, at least, five times. She finally gave us another set of bed linens and we changed the sheets ourselves. The morning desk clerk had less personality than a wet mop. Obviously, she should not be in a job like that where working with the public is vital. There was no hairdryer in the room, so we had to "borrow" one from the reception. Bottom line, despite the hiccups we would stay there again because of it being an unusually well kept property, because the location was very good for our needs, and because the very personable lady in charge of the breakfast prepared an appealing selection of menu choices. With a few changed, this could be a four star property."
"I had left a pair of earrings during a previous stay. I didn’t think they would have them but I thought “what the heck, let me ask”. They had them. Documented. I had to sign for them. Nowhere else would I have gotten that lucky. This place is top-notch. Their customer service is unbelievable."
