Great little staycation with a family of 3 kids. Pool was great. The beach was a fun adventure but it took a minute to get all the tar off from the beach. The food at all the restaurants was excellent they have an amazing amount of options for the kids. Overall wonderful stay.

This was NOT the 5 star experience we had hoped for... Only one of our rooms was ready when we arrived and we were sent to a room that did not exist. We found a nice employee on a golf cart who helped us hunt down the correct room after multiple radio calls to the front desk. When we came back 3 hours later to try check into the second room, we were told that the reservation was not available for another 30 days. We were like - what the heck? The front desk lady was very nice, but it took another 20 minutes to find out that our original reservation was good and they found a room. We ate at dinner on hotel grounds and it was very nice; however, the breakfast buffet required $110 per person! We decided to wander off the property and found a wonderful place at the Cajun Kitchen for only $15 per person! Finally, we were charged for a valet service we never used, an overnight parking spot ($75) that we never parked in and additional hotel fees with a total spend of over $2,000 for one night! All of this information was submitted to management, but we received no response. So.... long story short. Be sure to visit the area, play on the beautiful beach and soak up the Santa Barbara vitamins in the air -- but do NOT waste $2,000 dollars on this place. La Quinta Inn down the street will give you the exact same run around for only $200 per night.
