A last minute booking brought us to this picturesque hotel with restaurant. On arrival we noticed it was quiet, just the birds. No movement. No people. No cars. Doors locked. The official season opening of the hotel/restaurant was in a week. Apparently we had booked the apartment on site. This meant no staff, no hotel services including breakfast, cleaning or possibility to dine. But it didn't take long to see that there was exceptional service. They open the hotel especially for us, we got a beautiful room with an extra bed that we can stay in. That same night a kitchen staff came in and came back every day of our stay. In the morning a luxurious breakfast was served, everything we wanted was prepared in the kitchen. I have never been so touched by the friendliness and incredible service we received.

Hotel rural, masia catalana cuidada al detalle. Decoracion impresionante con detalles antiguos. Quiero pensar que han tenido un mal dia, pero una noche interminable sin aire acondicionado, un almuerzo justito que empieza por un zumo caliente en verano, y una presion del staff para que comieramos apartir de las 15.30H pq tenian un bautizo, hace con total seguridad un no volvemos, no recomendamos

sentimos que la experiencia no fuera buena, ciertamente tuvimos una avería en el aire acondicionado que no se pudo solucionar al ser en fin de semana, de todas formas por la noche refresca mucho , abriendo un poco la ventana se soluciona la calor y por esta razón dejamos insecticida antimosquitos en todas las habitaciones, tema desayuno, zumo natural recién exprimido de frutas, embutidos y pan artesanos, mantequilla, mermeladas hechas por nosotros, yogurt artesano, fruta, bollería y bizcocho recién horneado,tortilla o huevos fritos con beicon, café, infusiones etc no tenemos quejas del desayuno! referente a la comida hubiera estado bien que el dia antes se nos encargara, si no tenemos encargos cogemos reservas de clientes fuera del hotel, de todas formas muchas gracias por la reserva.

Nice hotel but overpriced
We stayed here 2 years ago and had a memorable experience due in no small part to the excellent food served by the then owner/chef who retired earlier this year. I am afraid to say that the food is now only average and was a complete let down on what we had been looking forward to.

great property with beautiful views from a big outdoor patio . situated in foothills of the Pyrennees and you can see the tall peaks in the distance. One does have to carry ones bags up to second floor rooms in the hacienda style home/hotel. chef was very friendly and Spanish speaking only. though things worked out well using a translator App on the phone. dinner looked great but our choices turned out to be very mediocre. breakfast was very elegant, bountiful and delicious. the room was good . mattress a bit old and saggy. bathroom very modern but with few hooks for towels and space for wash bags etc. I would return if in the area despite the out-of-the-way location because it is a unexpectedly grand hacienda.

Retired couple from Sant Cugat.
A beautiful house in which to relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside, close to Vic and other interesting villages. Arturo looked after us really well and we loved the breakfast which featured local produce, and the lunch and dinner which were delicious. We'll definitely stay there again.

Un maravilloso lugar para pasar unos días íntimos con tu pareja. El personal es muy amable, respetuosos y servicial. Quite simply an amazing property. The house is unique, so much so that it has a full chapel off the main entrance. Gorgeous rooms, ours had a huge terrace with views over the valley. The pool area is excellent. And best of all: the dinners prepared by Senor Cinto. The man is a stunning chef and a first-class host. Rather than heading into Vic or elsewhere in the evening, pay less money for a unique and warm experience. Wish we’d stayed longer than two nights!

A Beautiful Experience
For those that love the peaceful atmosphere of the Spanish countryside, La Torre de Vilar is ideal. The personal attention and 18th century surroundings create an singular experience of life in a time of simpler concerns. This may only be exceeded by the quality and authenticity of the food, much of which comes from the establishment's working farm, and nearly all comes from local sources. You truly experience the location's accommodating personality and warmth.

A wonderful experience!!
We had such a fabulous time at La Torre de Villar! We wish our stay was longer than two nights and our children were sad to leave. Our hosts took amazing care of us ensuring our needs were met (which is not always an easy task when you have three children under 7 years old with you). Our room was stunning with the most spectacular corner terrace and view of the hillside. We required a full bed, two twin beds and a baby crib all which were prepared for us prior to arrival, which made settling in relaxing and easy. The beds were very comfortable and both adults and children slept well. The bathroom was completely renovated with contemporary fixtures which was lovely. We could have used an additional wastebasket in the bedroom, but not a big deal. Breakfast was simply delicious, a lovely assortment of fresh breads, stone fruits, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, eggs and meats/cheeses. We more than filled our bellies before heading out for the day! One evening, we visited the town of Vic nearby which was nice but nothing outstanding. The following day we drove 40 minutes north to the midevil village of Rupit which was incredible and did hiking along the Salt de Sallent waterfalls. Absolutely gorgeous!! One evening we ate dinner at the property which also proved to be delicious and very well priced. The simple touches are what make this property feel special and just like home. We will absolutely be returning!! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Det var det skønneste hotel med den smukkeste beliggenhed og fantastisk serviceminded personale. Omgivelserne, poolen, hotellet og restauranten var så fint. Personalet var søde og fandt cykler og hjelme frem til børnene. De satte bordtennisbord op, og gjorde alt for at alle skulle føle sig velkomne. Kokken talte ikke meget engelsk men var så hyggelig og fik hjælp af tjeneren og hans google translate. Vi boede der i 4 dage, og spise middag i restauranten hver aften. Kokken fortæller hvad man kan vælge imellem. Det var dejlig mad, og med en masse tapas/tastings før maden - og dejlig dessert. Maden koster ca 26 € pr person - men vi betalte ikke for børnene. Det var meget rimligt. Tæt på ligger Vic som er en fin by. Ny renoverede badeværelser i flot mosaik. Kæmpe pool. Hotellet og personalet får vores varmeste anbefalinger.

Absolutely perfect!
We were looking for a quiet place with a nice pool-area. This place was beyond our expectations, very nice hotel with amazing staff and they treated us like rock stars. Our highest recommendation.

Beautiful and friendly place
Very special " castle-like" building, with a chapel inside. Our room was spacious, Antiqua decoration style, large balcony with wonderful view. Nice staff, kitchen is runned by a Nice man called Cinto. He prepars typical catalan dishes. Our kids liked their stay as well they had Fun in the swimming pool

A Delightful Surprise
The warm hospitality and the excellent cuisine of Cinto made our stay extremely enjoyable. We recommend the tasting menu, it is worth every cent. Between Cinto's stories and the presentation and explanation of each dish, it is a unique experience. The hotel location is isolated but very peaceful, and we enjoyed the swimming pool and terrace. Before leaving, Cinto's last minute paella will remain unforgettable.

Great place for quiet getaway
Our stay was perfect! The staff was so accommodating with the little requests that we had and were very friendly. Cinto had meals prepared for us and even came in early for a breakfast because we wouldn't be there for the actual meal. He made special plates for our son and all the food was so good. You really get a peaceful getaway if you stay here. The wifi works but isn't super fast. It was better downstairs than in the room though. There are some great local towns to check out like Vic and Rupit. Got to do some fantastic hiking.
