Thank you for choosing us.Indeed we do not have a parking lot but near the hotel there is one that would cost 10,000 pesos a night and 10,000 pesos a day.We are working to improve cleanliness since on very busy days this situation increases.We do not have an elevator.We appreciate you sharing your experience in our hotel and tourist destination.

There were mouse droppings in the bathroom. They were there every day. The maid never cleaned the room, she would remove the trash but never swept the floor so there was a layer of dirt and sand. The shower had two settings: extremely hot or frigid -- there was no in between. The architecture of the balcony was such that the strong winds sounded like we were staying next to railroad tracks. It is a short walk to the nicer beach (I think the listing said 7 minutes but unless you are sprinting that is not going to happen) but even the less nice beach is still good. No refrigerator or coffee machine so you must be constantly going to the often-closed restaurant for everything.

Thank you for your comment.The gecko is one of the most common reptiles in our environment and, despite legends, it is a harmless species that helps control the insect population.Every day we do the rooms and we appreciate your opinion we are willing to improve.The bathing area in Taganga is 7 to 10 minutes walking according to the pace, other beaches near the Hotel have more travel time.We do not have a minibar service inside the room, the restaurant has its recess at certain times, we try to inform our clients, we will improve that the information is received by the client.Thank you for choosing us.

Muy buen sitio para disfrutar de playa y hermosa vista. Muy buena atención. No hay elevador, muy bueno para las personas que le gusta ejercitarse, hay que subir y bajar escalas. Pero muy bueno. El restaurante muy bueno y servicio excelente.

El Hotel tiene una vista espectacular
Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía en el hotel, las habitaciones nuevas son muy cómodas, y desde el balcón de la habitación, la vista es muy bonita. En términos generales todo muy bueno (servicio, cercanía a la playa bahía grande) Pero es importante que las personas sepan que hay que subir muchas escaleras, y el sendero a la playa tambien es muy empinado.

The hotel was nice enough. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was just so so. We were in Taganga in December and it was very crowded with tourists. Unfortunately, Taganga is very loud. Loud music played in several businesses literally ALL night. Due to the position of the hotel and the fact that sound carries over water, it was very loud in the hotel as well. Also, there were bright glaring lights shining out over the bay and into hotel windows. It is unfortunate that the town of Taganga allows this noise pollution and light pollution to exist. I was expecting a quiet fishing village, and got a loud obnoxious party town.

Alright Place
This place is alright, but next time I would probably stay at the other end of the bay where it is more developed. The first time I arrived I felt like the area to get there is a bit sketchy with people staying outside all night with loud music blasting and roosters going off at all hours of the night (not the hotel's fault). The hotel had great service, a nice view, and a nice pool. The wifi is OK but you couldn't work or commit to anything really important using internet. People weren't lying about cabs not wanting to go up to the top. You get dropped off at a roundabout at the bottom and take a path (not driveable) up to the hotel on the mountain. It's not bad. Every time we left the hotel and came back there were all of these little sort of pill-bugs (potato bugs) that appeared out of the drain. I just got home and am still unclear on whether or not these are bed bugs..but there weren't any in the bed or signs of blood or black eggs or anything. I have never seen bed bugs before so I don't know :/

Muchas gracias por su comentario. Estos animalitos suelen salir en verano ya que viven en las montañas de taganga y por falta de agua y las altas temperaturas buscan refugiarsen en lugares fresco y con agua, a penas empiesan a aparecer se hace un control para evitar la invacion, no pican.

BAHIA TAGANGA
This hotel is the premier property in Playa Taganga. Taganga is remote and dirt roads seperate the hotel from paved roads. GPS is a must for navigation to this location and speaking spanish is a plus. Gated parking is off site but just around the corner and a representive will take you there. The cost is about 6 dollars(US) per day and you won't need your car in while in the town. The hotel has a restaurant with great food and cheap beer(Aguila, Club Colombia for $1.50 US approx) and beer in the town was about $1 US, and seafood(including lobster) is plentifuland cheap. The hotel is elevated so there is a steep incline leading to the office and lots of stairs after that. The pool is great and overlooks the cove and the beach town. The hotel staff is great.

Don’t be tempted…
The only nice thing was the view. Difficult to get to. Taxi drivers don’t want to go there, and some said we had no business going there. Food, rooms, etc are overpriced, especially for the area. Internet is almost non-existent. The WiFi comes close to functioning, but it’s connected to something similar to dial up. I got 3mb while hard wired in the reception. If you have access to a local data plan, the best you’ll get in Taganga bay is 3g, if you’re lucky.

De acuerdo a nuestra ubicación tenemos una sola ruta para llegar al Hotel y tenemos taxis de confianza para prestar el servicio de traslados con costos normativos a cualquier destino que deseen ya que muchas veces los taxistas no quieren llegar hasta aquí y los dejan a unas cuadras del hotel para conveniencia de ellos y no prestar un buen servicio al turistas. Debido a estas situaciones estamos implementando notificar en todas las otas para que los clientes tengan una mejor experiencia en cuanto al transporte. Pedimos disculpas ya que en su estadía el internet no fue muy eficiente para su necesidad y tratamos de solucionarlo en su debido momento ya que en algunas ocasiones perdíamos señal de internet pero cada día y con cada experiencia de nuestros clientes trabajamos para mejorar.

Parking was advertised but we couldn’t find it. Had to risk parking on the street. Too expensive for such a small simple room. You’re only paying for the view which you don’t get unless you go up to the pool. Not worth it in my opinions breakfast was good though, view was nice

A high top location with a wonderful view of Taganga beach, family owned, with pleasant staff, but be aware there are no lifts and the steps up and down could be a challenge... we liked it for its Columbian authenticity and Caribbean charm

The picturesque view of the bay an the pueblo were beautiful. The staff was also very nice. The pools and terraces were nice and inviting.

Great location with great views. Staff goes above and beyond. It has access to a hiking trail to playa grande or take a boat in town for 10 l 20 k peso..depends how good your hageling skills are. Walking distance to everything.

this property was the nicest on the beach, but it was on the bad side of town, you had to walk thru trash and dirty people begging for change to get to the nice resteraunts and such.

Detalles buenos y malos.
El hotel tiene puntos a favor y en contra. A favor: Habitación amplia, muy limpia, y casi todas tienen una excelente vista al mar. El personal es muy amable y servicial. El desayuno que viene incluido estuvo delicioso. Puntos en contra: Al hacer la reserva por Internet el valor total a pagar era de $314.500 pesos, y cuando llegué al hotel a hacer el chek-in me cobraron $388.500 pesos, 74 mil pesos más, por concepto de impuestos (IVA 19%) y un seguro que cobran por persona, los cuales nunca mencionaron a la hora de hacer la reserva. Segundo punto: La zona donde está ubicado el hotel es sucia, la playa en ese sector es ocupada por los pescadores y sus embarcaciones, lo cual emite malos olores. De noche el sector es muy oscuro y por ende peligroso. Tercer punto: En los servicios del hotel que se publican por Internet dice que cuentan con parquedero lo cual es falso. Tuve que dejar mi vehículo en un parquedero cerca al hotel y pagar por ese servicio. Cuarto punto: Durante mi estadía se presentó un robo en una de las habitaciones (al parecer no es la primera vez) afectando a unos extranjeros, los cuales al regresar a la habitación a la 1 de la mañana se percataron del robo por lo cual armaron tremendo escándalo, provocando incomodidad en los demás huéspedes durante una hora ya que al hotel llegó personal de la policía y la SIJIN para atender el impase. Esos son los pro y contra que me dejó mi estadía en el hotel.

Beautiful views------ although it was more than the price quoted by hotel.com. I'll call later--still on vacation. Other than that, it was wonderful except----- Not good service from hotel for our snorkel trip. Our vendor promised we could use cards, but when we went to pay they did not take cards. We waited to pay the captain with cash for hours, but he never met us. We had to rent mask and snorkel at beach and the snorkels leaked. We have been on snorkel trips worldwide and never put in this position. The company did not have a name.

Don't go - waste of money
Crappy hotel. Only cold water in the shower and no drain. Mosquitos and creepy animals (15cm insect thing) in the room. I made the reservation on hotels.com but had to pay at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel they didn't accept the price from hotels.com but required a substantially higher rate (more than 20% extra). I will never return to this hotel or advice anyone to go there. However, if you only care for the pool and the view, these things are fine. But it is definately not worth the price. Now I have moved to Santa Marta in a cheaper but WAY better hotel.

Bahia Taganga has incredible views. It is a great location, to be quiet and outside of the hustle and bustle of the streets is great and it's still an easy walk into town. They had construction and some water issues while we were there but it was a still great experience.

Solid Budget Hotel with a Great View of Taganga
Very simple room with a great balcony and access to the hotel's beautiful pool and sun deck. The restaurant offered great food and the breakfast was good. The bed's are a bit hard and the room did lack hot water for half of the trip, but it was a good experience overall for the value. The location is terrific.
