Mangia's Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton
4/10 Poor
"We recently stayed at this hotel as a group of six women and unfortunately the experience fell well below expectations, particularly for a Hilton property.
Before arrival, we emailed requesting rooms close together, but this was never arranged. While the hotel has some positives—the pool area is beautiful, the poolside beds are excellent, and the breakfast buffet was very good—the service issues overshadowed the stay.
The most significant problem involved room assignments. Two guests booked Superior Rooms, yet one paid considerably more and received a dramatically smaller room. The difference was obvious and felt unfair. The proposed compensation was half-board, despite our group having dinner reservations elsewhere every evening. This solution was impractical and did not reflect the price difference paid.
The hotel later offered six soft drinks to the group, which felt dismissive rather than a meaningful attempt to resolve the issue.
Throughout the stay, staff seemed focused on explaining problems rather than fixing them. Both check-in and check-out were unnecessarily stressful, and communication was inconsistent. For example, the coffee service policy changed on the second morning without clear explanation, causing confusion.
Ashley was a standout employee who genuinely tried to help, and the young woman in the hotel shop was consistently warm and welcoming.
While Ivana was polite, she did not appear empowered to resolve concerns effectively. Management was particular"
COLONNA GRAND HOTEL CAPO TESTA, a Colonna Luxury Beach Hotel, Santa Teresa Sardegna
10/10 Excellent
"Careful not to hit your head in the lobby! The views are worth every penny! Take the walk down to the beach and go left. There is an absolutely amazing grotto full of wild flowers and out-of-this world rock formations!! Sardinia is amazing!!!!!!!!!!"
"Very clean, beautiful view and beautiful beach. Would love more amenities like a gym and another restaurant. Great spot and very friendly and helpful staff!"
"We were greeted with warm smiles and kindness. Our Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The hotel is decorated with local artifacts and colors. Breakfast was very nice, with a wide selection of breads, meats, and cheeses, and of course great coffee. The hotel has a restaurant attached and we had all of our lunches and dinners because the food and service were great! We could walk to hiking trails, the City Center, and of course the beach. We look forward to returning. "
"Clean room, so much amenities and nice blankets cause it's cold at night. Near the beach and quiet environment perfect for a quiet and enjoyable vacation "
"Location and beach was amazing. The room was clean and very nice, but the property was very dirty and some areas looks like a third world country. There is a wedding party that had a DJ with loudspeakers that went on until 2:30 in the morning. I at least would’ve expected them to have a 11 PM sound limit or something like that. The food was fine, but was only limited to one restaurant as the other ones needed to be booked ahead of time and the other two were closed for private events. There’s a hole in the fence and you can go to another restaurant at a different resort if you’re looking for different food options. I’m guessing this resort just needs more cleaning staff "
"The hotel is located a bit away from the main tourist areas, but since we rented a car, transportation wasn’t an issue for us. The rooms were clean, and the service was good. However, the hotel doesn’t provide irons for borrowing, so it’s a good idea to bring your own steamer.
One small inconvenience was that guests have to hand their keys to reception every time they leave the hotel, due to past issues with lost keys. It wasn’t a major problem but worth noting.
There are a few local restaurants nearby, though they’re a bit of a walk away—especially since the roads are hilly.
Overall, the hotel staff were welcoming, and we had a pleasant stay."
