Perfect for hotel for pool and sea swimming
Much enjoyed stay here at end of September. The hotel has an unusual lay-out with blocks of rooms scattered over the hillside and with golf-type buggies running frequently picking guests up to get back to the main building or elsewhere. Our room was very close to one of the three pools from which there was access to a charming small beach. Each swimming pool had a bar with catering alongside which was useful. The very spacious and well equipped rooms were extremely quiet and had good views over gardens and/or the sea. The breakfasts were magnificent catered for every possible taste. The evening buffet was good, though not "haute cuisine" but at 25 Euros was amazing value. There were two other restaurants we never got around to trying but may have been very good.

A great hotel with lots to offer
A wonderful hotel with great pools, beaches and spacious, clean rooms. The kayaking was really enjoyable and the regular golf buggy shuttles around were very helpful. I especially liked the outdoor pilates class and the indoor spa. My only slight complaint was the standard of breakfast-the egg station needs improving, the cereal was tasteless and the coffee/tea machines take too long. Apart from that, loved the hotel and would return.

Beautifully located, felt immediately welcome
Beautiful location and the huge hotel site, gardens and pools are perfectly well maintained. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, our room spacious, newly refurbished, bright and clean with a big terrace. The view from the restaurant during breakfast was gorgeous and the breakfast delicious with a vast choice of food.

More geared up for conferences than holidaymakers.
This is a lovely property with direct access to three very pretty beaches. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast buffet offered a huge selection which was all very nicely prepared and tasty. We chose this hotel based on its five star rating and location as we wanted a relaxing break. A couple of days into our stay a huge group of people arrived for a two day Fitbit product launch and took over the "quiet" adult pool area with various fitness and exercise sessions through the day. To top it all we were treated to a pep talk by a company executive broadcast over the PA system - felt as though we were at work ourselves Rather than on holiday! On their departure events organisers took over the area and spent the day preparing for another conference for a global consultancy company, setting up a variety of props and doing sound system tests. It may well depend on the time of year you go, however we felt that the hotel focusses is on big business and conferences and bring in the big bucks to the detriment of holidaymakers. This isn't how it is portrayed in the publicity and had we known this we would have booked and stayed elsewhere.

Excellent stay! Great facilities, but the highlight for sure is the buffets (breakfast & Dinner) probably the best I ever seen in a 5 Star hotel! Silver service service! But with a Spanish touch! I'll be back!

Nice holiday but expensive extras
Hotel is clean, modern and in a beautifully peaceful location. The staff were friendly most of the time. Prices for meals, drinks, mini bar, etc are extortionate. We would say a nice 4* hotel, not a 5*.

Lovely hotel in a superb location.
Love Porto Petro. Best place to stay in Mallorca - not overly busy with beautiful coast, a national park and lots of restaurants and boutiques. Nice hotel is the icing on the cake. Fantastic breakfast with sea views. Hotel quite sprawling but with something for everyone.

Puravida and paradiso -- shh keep it secret!
The hotel was better than I had ever imagined given its large number of rooms. Spread out along a rocky and tree lined curving coastline every room had a view -- mine in particular overlooked an inlet with a small beach. Leaving the balcony door open at night I was lulled to sleep by the sound of gentle waves lapping. The hotel welcomed guests with a complementary bottle of water as the tap water has a strange taste but the little village has two supermarkets within a 5 minute walk from the hotel if you don't want to pay hotel prices for supplies. There was a nice toweling spa dressing gown in the room and fresh beach towel whenever needed. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever experienced. If you're feeling lazy you can always hop on what they pronounced as the 'boogy' -- well you could boogy with the delight of the place. It's excellent for adults who want a quiet and restful stay and for children who are catered for in areas which are for families. I can't say enough good things about the place.

Fantastic hotel within a small and perfectly formed village, perfect for a restful, low key holiday. Seems this little gem is under-rated having read other reviews, with great views, great facilities and great service throughout the week. Hotel facilities and services were perfect for our 3 month old. Would very happily return.

Great hotel in a beautiful location
Everything about our stay was just perfect. As far from a typical 'Palma-based' Mallorcan holiday as you can get. Beautifully maintained hotel with staff who were friendly, and put themselves out to be as helpful as possible. We're always more likely to be found around a pool than a beach during the day, but like to be able to walk along the sea-front occasionally (especially at sunset) and it was great for this. Due to Porto Petro being in a cove, the scenery was stunning. Great selection of fairly-priced restaurants that all had their strengths (although the seafood is obviously the speciality of the island!) within a 5-10 minute walk of reception. We were B&B and the breakfast buffet couldn't be faulted. If we didn;t enjoy the walk into town so much, I'd be tempted togo half board next time based on the experience. Cocktail of the day at the pool bar was always yummy and better value than the other cocktails.

If you book a junior suite confirmed a double bed they wait until you arrive to tell you they only have a twin room Not good for a special occasion and romantic break But their opinion is its all we have take it or leave it Great hotel perfect location but confirm what you booked and what your getting before arriving

Very nice hotel. Large area linked by pleasant outdoor walkways. Lots of greenery. 4 swimming pools. One is adults only, one is heated, one is inside. Very nice spa. Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, jet pool, hamman, various showers. Free to use for hotel guests. Half board breakfast and dinner excellent quality. Buffet style with large selection, excellent quality food which changes daily.

We had a 4 night stay and the hotel and its location is fabulous. The Hotel is of modern build and in that regard our room (superior) was fantastic, it wanted for nothing. We were B/B and breakfast was very good in a great location above a bay looking out to sea. Lots of leisure space to chose from including a natural beach area. Sporting facilities and activities in abundance. The hotel is pristine - but it lacks warmth. The staff are functional & efficient but we felt it was a great place to stay but not to spend social time.

Didn't get off to best start having to wait quite a while to check in only to be told room wasn't available even though it was 14:30, then they quabbled with us when we told them they sent us the wrong food by room service (!)....not a 5 star experience! However, after the iffy start, the hotel grew on me & I really did enjoy it from then on - facilities were good (particularly if you are into fitness/sports), it has a choice of 3 pools (one of which is adult only) and 2 small beaches (which aren't that special) but you have direct access to the beach/sea from within the resort and the resort itself is lovely - well maintained with lovely views onto the bay. Yes, it's quite a big resort and you can get buggy service to move around but it's absolutely fine to walk around - in fact, we actiually liked that part and you can walk from one end to the other in less than 10 mins. So, in summary, we liked it a lot but it's not to the standard that I would say is 5 star, more 4.5....

Nice hotel, friendly staff who let us check in early as we arrived on early morning flight. Perhaps could do with more sun beds around kids allowed pool in August as there was a lot of putting towels out early in morning by the pool leaving nowhere to sit for those who turned up at pool at a normal time, all facilities are very good. I went with husband and 6 year old daughter who loved it. We didn't use tennis and lots of other things as it was too hot to play (not that I am complaining coz weather was fab). Spa is also very nice I enjoyed a couple of treatments. It is a German tui hotel but had lots of nationalities staying which I prefer to a very Brits hotel. Booked through Expedia and I think we got good value for money.

It was a nice enough hotel, the pool areas where great and the access to beach from within hotel was great. Getting around the hotel required golf buggy lifts as the resort is so big and spread out - but the facilities are amazing. I went with my two kids and we enjoyed our time. The buggy staff where friendly but the rest of the staff are a bit rude and really don't want to help in anyway - which is a shame. Hotel is in a brilliant location for easy access to other areas.

Excellent location room with sea view and pool ,
We were located in the Adult part of the complex , which was quiet, but suited us, the buggy service to and from the reception and bars worked well once you learn to chill out and unwind ,they arrive not quite to schedule but was ok . Or you can walk of course.pool area immaculate ,

The location is perfect two lovely beaches
Stayed last year and we had such a lovely time we decided to return which was disappointing although we love the location the hotel did not meet 5 star standards. The reception staff were not welcoming waited one and a half hours after 2.00 for our room to be ready and no real apology. Rooms clean and porters and chambermaids were all lovely and willing to help. The adult area was not treated as such and staff not interested in making it so. The restaurants at breakfast were full to capacity with staff struggling to keep up. We did not try to eat in the evening as did not want buffet style again same at lunch.

Lovely Resort
We really enjoyed our stay. The adult pool was very nice and quiet. The hotel offers free bike rentals so we rode around to the neigboring beaches and the town. We also used the tennis courts for a small fee. Our room was clean and had a nice view. I would recommend it.
