The Hotel is a bit dated and it takes a 15 minutes walk uphill to get to Avenida Paulista; however, it is a safe area, good value for money and the best included breakfast we had in the whole of Brazil. The room was big and comfortable, staff is very serious, they don't interact much with you. Anyhow, it was a good hotel to stay to explore Sao Paulo

First and foremost the breakfast was very good. The bed mattress was very firm with just a bedsheet, no mattress pad and two flat overused standard pillows on queen size bed. The flooring wood tiles are warped with gaps in between. The glass shower stall has buildup soap scum and the sheer curtains has a large brown dirty discoloration on it.

What I did not like about the hotel room was it’s bathroom (small, no hangers to hang towels, takes ages to get hot water, and the overall quality of the interior and vibe), card keys that constantly fail to open the door (I had to run down to the reception desk to renew my key every time I come back to my room), surroundings of the hotel (definitely not a slum but you have to travel for quite a distance to find decent restaurants and cafes, for Paulista ave you need to get ready for a 15m long uphill hike) and, most of all, all the loud noises coming from the hallways. The door just fails miserably to block the noises. It was almost impossible for me to get some nap between 9-12 because of all the noises coming from the busy hallway.
