"It’s Memorial Day weekend so I know all hotels are booked, but the problem with this particular Hilton is that the locals park at the Hilton and then use the hotel’s pool, boardwalk and the hotel guest access to the beach so it was a nonstop steady stream of locals and their kids invading the hotel. The hotel’s pool is very small pool at this hotel. And it was filthy. The lobby was also insanely busy. It was overall a huge disappointment. And I paid $400 for 1 night!! We overheard the staff saying they weren’t going to tow anyone that was non guests. We live in Orlando and come to the beach often so we know it is like this along the central Florida coast line, but for those of us who are paying to use the amenities it’s incredibly disappointing. I also am a Hilton member and was not allowed to even pay for a late checkout, even though occupancy probably dropped to 10% tonight. Cocoa Beach is in desperate need of a high end Resort and I have mixed hopes for the new Westin that is being built. I hope I’m wrong. Food and bar service was also abyssmal."
