Disappointing

The room which we were allocated was absolutely nothing like the photographs on the website which was very disappointing. The room was very small & the hangers were very dusty.

February 2020 Two night stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly, approachable and couldn’t do enough for us. Acted on our requests swiftly and without issue. Breakfast was good but would like a bit more choice of continental items. We stopped in superior rooms and they were excellent. Would definitely stay again. Good location. Free parking on site but limited spaces. Thank you To all staff for our lovely stay and making us feel welcome.

Clean hotel in good location with free parking. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast value for money. Will definitely be looking to stay here again should we return to Scarborough.

Homely but too far out.

confusing because we thought it was part of the travel lodge chain. but it is a private b&b.they have afew in Scarborough so we actually went to the wrong one.so that cost us 2 taxi fayres. It was on valley road and no buses went past the hotel. so was a bit too far out if you haven't got transport. The room was much smaller than the web site.and the shower we didn't attempt for the same reason. The breakfast was very good although i did ask for soya milk but non was available.

Just ok.....

The room was clean and comfortable but there was a lot of noise just from other guests moving around, thin walls and creaky floors! The menu in the "bistro" was in the process of being changed apparently, so was very limited; breakfast was good though. The bistro area itself was very bright and not really very comfortable, in my opinion. Wi-fi was non existent anywhere in the building. The staff were pleasant which stopped the stay being a let down. The hotel is well placed but just seems to be missing something.

Last minute trip to see family

Well it was clean but they didn't make the room up after first night tiny room weird shower car park is a joke I got blocked completely and was fobbed off by reception staff saying the car blocking me in the owner was out then he appeared at a bedroom window clearly telling lies he insulted my wife By sayingt I will watch you out It would have not matter who stood there is was blocked in rude unhelpfull will not be staying again look elsewhere there's better for same money.

An OK Hotel, dated in places. Photos need updating on sites, definitely out of date. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great bar and breakfast was lovely!

Lovely Staff

The staff were so lovely and helpful, so glad we stayed here. The room was decor was a bit dated and the shower cubicle could do to be replaced but the room was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic and it's served until 10am. The hotel offers an 11.30 checkout on a Sunday which was a nice thing to find out.

Quite a walk to centre and room was nothing like the picture you show we were in a separate building where the outside door key fit your room key which means all the rooms have the same key wouldn’t stay again

Rooms shabby out dated furniture with plastic cubicle showers , a couple were being given a refund when we were checking in and the lady told me the room was dirty and smelt horrible. the pictures online look really nice, but we were told it was pictures from two rooms which have just been refurbished

Booked for a double room but got a rather small twin, had to squeeze my way around the second bed to get to the kettle. The bathroom was extremeley hot with no ventilation. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were a bit hard. The lighting in the room was rubbish, no good for putting makeup on.

Fab breakfast

One night visit. Great breakfast. Slightly disappointed with room. All a bit cramped, shower a squeeze. Hotel was not busy with it being Sunday to Monday. We have stayed before and the hotel has better rooms. Staff polite and helpful. Great location.
