Excellent stay, the room was very comfortable I had a great sleep. The food in the bar was also excellent, a very good pork chop.

Fast check, very helpful and friendly staff. Food in the pub was good and well priced.
Accommodation was good and had everything I needed for my stay.
The stay was well worth the price paid.
My stay of choice when in the Scunthorpe area. Friendly traditional pub atmosphere, so rare these days. Excellent food, service and welcoming staff. Can recommend happily!!
You check in at the tavern and the rooms are in the lodge at the rear of the property. Everyone was really friendly, the room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. Would recommend staying here if you need somewhere to stay in the area.
The girls/women were really helpful, friendly and polite.
The food was delicious and a great portion.
The bar was warm with a good atmosphere.
The chalet we had was clean, warm and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable.
I've stayed here before, so i expected it to be good, and it was. A comfortable single room, with a well-lit desk for doing some work. The evening meal was excellent! (Unfortunately I was unable to have breakfast, but i know it would have been good.)
Great value place to stay with breakfast. I had informed them I would be arriving after 10pm someone was there to check me in. Super friendly too! I would go back for sure. All amenities in my room with a fridge and breakfast all in the fridge! Thanks for a restful stay.
Easy check in at the bar and a friendly welcome. Car park was big enough to find a space at the rear. Room was clean and cosy, and I slept soundly. DIY breakfast in the room, though hot meals available for those planning a longer stay. Good, honest establishment and great value for money.

Quiet
Quiet friendly place with food that wasn't bad. Off the beaten track but that suited me. A very cold night and even with extra heater was still nippy. Couldn't recommend in winter.
Received a warm welcome from the owners and staff at The River Don Tavern. Had a lovely meal, well cook with generous portions. Good size room with large bed, plenty of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Good breakfast supplied. Shower a bit dated, but clean with plenty of hot water. Spacious car park. Quiet farming village with safe walks for our dog. Enjoyed our stay.

The room was a good size with plenty of room for 2 people to stay comfortably. There was a fridge with a large bottle of drinkable tap water.
The bed was okay but I have a bad back so brought a single topper with me.
The staff were lovely and helpful. The TV remote wasn’t working so the lady swapped it for me. She also got me an extra bottle of water every day.
Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation. The bed was kingsize, the room had alot of space, a fridge, hot chocolate as well as the usual tea and coffee. My breakfast was in the room (see pictures). Edit - the pictures won't upload!
I arrived too late to use the restaurant but the menu was varied and looked like the meals were good value - maybe next time...
