“The Hotel del Rio was absolutely amazing. The staff was super helpful in all regards from event planning to dining to recommendations on sights to see etc. The rooms were very clean and modern. Every morning they asked about whether we wanted service or not. The on site amenities were very diverse from sports to spas. Even our kids did not get bored. Lots of trails for walking. The rooms were very private as well, I am not sure I saw or heard another guest except for at the restaurant. ...

“This is a beautiful property with impeccable service and amazing views of the volcano. Our family suite was very large with an instagram worthy view of the volcano from our balcony. The grounds are beautiful- the trees, flowers, water features, just gorgeous. A good sized pool and several hot springs are part of the property. The breakfast buffet was great- lots of choice with polished service. This is definitely one of the more beautiful upscale properties in La Fortuna. We had several tours...

“There was an issue the first night. Electrical issues forced us to transfer to another local, unaffiliated property...which was not at the level of comfort and amenities we expected or had paid for. That said, the hotel went out of its way to correct the issue, first by upgrading our rooms, then reaching a mutually agreeable price correction. All in all, a great stay! Thank you Reynaldo and the entire Tifakara team!”

“We were given a wonderful two bedroom suite with an enclosed patio and a hammock, a kitchen, two king beds in on room, plus a second bedroom above. WOWOW! Great breakfast around the corner at Gecko. Bedroom in the midst of a rain forest. Unbelievable!!!”
