It is a nice hotel to stay in the middle of the Seoul metropolis , but the sign boards provided are not big and eye catching. On the first day, when i arrived in the night , i found it difficult to locate the hotel, eventhough, i was on that lane. Brightly lit, big colourful sign board will make it easy to locate by the guests. Also the name hostel lowers the standard of this hotel. If the name was " 57 Meongdong Hotel" , it will attract more guests and guests would have a satisfaction, that they are going to a hotel rather than a hostel. Otherwise, everything was fine . I will stay there , if i visit Seoul again.

The location was perfect, right near two major subway lines and surrounded by great shopping. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to stay central on a budget. My room faced a busy street, so there was some noise, but it didn’t bother me much. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a pleasant experience!

The common area may be a bit dated, but the room we stayed in was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to families and friends. The location was walkable to Seoul Station, subway and bus stops, and located right by street markets. Rooms are small with wet baths but had everything we needed. Not fancy but they did have free breakfasts. Our room was clean with free washing machines just out the door from our room. We would recommend and would use again.

The accommodations and staffing were beyond exceptional. We had booked this place after the recommendation of a friend who had stayed here last year and would easily recommend it to new any returning travelers. They are really good a accommodating your needs, and in our case we had a red eye flight and would check in around 0300 which was past their normal check in time but we had reached out and they had someone there to help us, which we were extremely grateful for. The location is unbelievable as you are next to the train station and bus stop which made it easily accessible. Not to mention that the food stalls that come out at night are only a few feet away from the front door, but not close enough that the sound would reach you. Easily would recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.
