“Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement. Bed was comfortable. It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music. Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money.”

“Good Convenient Hotel in Ryde, though slightly dated, all the amenities were present. The restaurant was good, we ate there twice. Some minor issues with windows and bed make up, but the staff were helpful in getting it all fixed. Was also given a free breakfast upgrade, which was appreciated. ”

“There was no wardrobe or desk in the room The shower was magnificent The staff were superlative Obviously there is no lift as it is an old building not the staff took my luggage to the room The location is excellent For a single male the accommodation is fine but I imagine ladies would expect more comfort I had a wonderful stay and the staff were wonderful ”

“Great view of the Isle of Whight from room. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom with shower and stand alone bath. Walk to town centre, metres to sea and seawater swimming pool.”

“The pub was lovely, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb and beautifully cooked. We also had a meal and a couple of drinks on the evening we arrived, and I can say that it was the best we'd had for a long time. Totally blew away a lot of the mainland pubs. “Perfect location looking across the Esplanade to the sea front. Excellent food served all day in a relaxed atmosphere by attentive staff. This great venue attracted a lot on non-resident customers and there was a real buzz as guests enjoyed their relaxed meal eating great food and enjoying a wide variety from the bar.. As residents we were recognised and welcomed and felt very looked after. This was a great base to explore the Island from, ”

“Warm and friendly welcome. Room a little small but clean and inviting. Quiet and peaceful sleep, curtains a little thin and let in the morning light. Breakfast was amazing! So was our evening meal in the pub. Excellent service throughout our whole stay. Would definitely stay again. ”
