Shell Island, Panama City hotel rooms at the Best Western

"Friendly staff & housekeeping is impeccable! The hotel is not updated (think 1970’s) and we needed more outlets. A power strip worked well. The bed was easy to sleep on (soft king). Cheapest room I found on the beach and worth every penny!! (5 nights across the street from the beach S-Th. $244 Total!) Full fridge/freezer and a microwave, no kitchen. 1 table & 1 desk with large working area. The room is spacious and not cramped. Restroom area is small. One sink vanity seperate from shower and facilities. In walking distance to most. (1 mile) Housekeeping comes every 3 days to empty trash and swap out dirty towels for clean. Would definitely recommend!! One minute walk to the beach, McGuires (steak & seafood) and a couple bars within a block. Tons of shopping & restaurants about a mile away. We went to visit the ocean and recharge so we didn’t try the pool or the other hotels we had access to (3 or 4 neighboring hotels). The pool bar only accepts cash & cards, no Apple Pay."

"They clean the room every other day. If you stay on the street side, it becomes super noisy. Free breakfast and the pool is heated. Right on the beach which is a plus."

Our room definitely needed some tlc amd cleaning around the edges, butThey are currently changing management and working on improvements which will be nice. Staff were very friendly and the young woman at the front desk was very helpful. The beach is absolutely beautiful"

"Beach view was amazing per usual, the staff were way to friendly with underage girls and they did not do their jobs properly..the male manager was to busy worried about money instead of handling things in a professional manner.. the bar needs a better DJ…it was an ok stay maybe we will go elsewhere next yr!!!!"

"The balcony, view and easy accessibility to the beach far make up for anything else. If you have any physical limitations I suggest you make sure you are on the ground level. The staff were great. We arrived off the road several hours before check-in and they allowed us to check-in early. I wish we could have stayed longer. "
