Our second stay at the Bower House and it was lovely, the added air con units were a bonus. Very disappointed however to find out that the cooked breakfast options are not included in the week only on weekends.

We had an absolutely terrific stay at the Bower House! We were delighted by the welcome gifts and daily service. I have been visiting Shipston for many years and the BH is a welcome addition to the area.

Highly recommend lovely hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel in the last two weeks the rooms are very clean. The staff are very friendly. They offer a mini bar coffee machine and also air-conditioning. I would highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely amazing stay, the room was a dream 😍 decorated to such a high standard, everything you could wish for! The bathroom was huge, the bath was the perfect way to start bank holiday Monday! Cannot recommend it highly enough, we are already looking at dates to come back! Thank you so much ❤️

Charming Weekend in the Cotswolds

I had a wonderful stay! The room is wonderfully appointed, quite large and very cozy. I was thrilled at seeing it. I'm still thinking about the amazing claw foot tub! The food at the Bower House below is absolutely delicious and the staff are incredibly kind and service-oriented. I hope I get to stay here soon again. The downtown area that the restaurant and rooms are in is so charming with many shops, restaurants, etc. I loved my three night stay

We had just the one night stay at The Bower House as we were breaking our journey home. The accommodation was lovely and we had a very tasty breakfast the following morning. We were disappointed in that the evening we booked to stay the restaurant was not open as it would have been good to have dinner there and there were good reviews online.

Wonderful place!

We stayed for two nights and we loved our stay at The Bower House! Beautiful and spacious room was a welcome surprise. The bathroom was also huge and very nice. The decor was well done and the surprise welcome cookies were a great treat. Sadly we stayed here when the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to try it but we had dinner at their sister restaurant, The Howard Arms, and it was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic experience in the Cotswolds

This place was amazing! One of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in! Kids had their own separate room with bunk beds which they loved. The main bedroom was stunning with a fabulous bed and facilities. The bathroom had a massive bath which filled in minutes. The separate shower room was fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Hotel was beautiful and in great location but room was not clean, dirty tissues behind radiator and food crumbs on mat. Room was also extremely hot and air conditioning unit was ridiculously loud. Service was also terrible, no one available in a morning

A very friendly welcome on arrival. Lovely room, beautiful bathroom. The area was very pretty with lots of coffee shops and bars, though not much more. A relaxing stay. Only criticism was the room was a bit cold. We were told we could turn our radiators up, but they never warmed and there wasn’t anyone at night when we got back to ask. Otherwise lovely.

Really lovely hotel. Perfect decor, huge bathroom - felt like a treat! Nice touches of fruit and biscuits on arrival, and still and sparkling water. Very polite staff. It’s quite noisy outside as the hotel sits in front of a small parking area and strip of shops, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Floors are quite creaky but that sort of adds to the ambiance if you don’t mind it. Doors are a little hard to lock and are quite heavy. We were in a room next to the staff cleaning cupboard (I think) so from quite early could hear them coming in and out of it. Food very nice in the restaurant downstairs. Overall, a lovely place to stay and will definitely return.
