First stay here, it was well maintained and clean. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Would stay again. Sauna, hot tub and pool were the best to unwind in after a long day of hikes!

Though the Birchwood was at full capacity, it was very quiet! Very relaxing and comfortable rooms. The pool area was very well kept and was also clean and not being used. We enjoyed our stay and will return soon! Jenni and Mike

Everything was wonderful! The hotel was conveniently located just a couple of minutes from Al Johnsons, where we had breakfast EVERY DAY! And our 6 year old son loved not only the pool, but also the jacuzzi tub in our room! They also have a basket by the front desk with extra toiletries and towels!

The property was clean. Check-in is 4pm and they will not budge on the time. I left my number in case my room was ready earlier, but they never called or messaged. A few locals I talked to during Fall Fest said the same thing about the customer service there, so it wasn't just me. I had planned to unpack and start enjoying the festivities instead of having to stop and go back, so that was disappointing. The room looked like the photos on the site, but for a suite I expected more space β€” there's a wall down the center that really cuts into the room. The heat is one electric floor unit controlled by a wall thermostat. The hotel doesn't supply coffee other than the single-cup maker in the room. There was also a pump bottle with a note saying I'd be charged $50 if I took it, which felt excessive. They should really upgrade to electronic door locks β€” instead of unlocking the door and then turning the handle, you have to keep the key turned in the lock and push the door open at the same time. The hot tub was nice.

Really love this place! It is cute πŸ₯° First time at Door County, Sister Bay and I’m glad we stay there, staff very friendly and welcoming, map very understandable, I live that our room had a hot tub and a fire place ☺️
Second floor has a small place to sit and have a coffee with the person that you love and a bookshelf 😍
Pool very spacious and hot tub very warm just hot tus bubbles were not working πŸ™ƒ
