"The historic hotel was beautiful. It had been recently updated, and this was noticeable throughout the entire hotel. The rugs, walls, lighting, and rooms were all in pristine shape. Popcorn, coffee, and cookies were available in the evening hours, and a breakfast was offered in the morning (we had to leave unfortunately before breakfast was offered). The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, providing good suggestions for dining, parking, and other needs. It was in the heart of the downtown, which was also fun. The only downside was that the road in front of the hotel was noisy for the early part of the night (cars racing), but luckily that didn't last too long into the nighttime. We would recommend this hotel."

"One of the criteria that I used in choosing the Red Lion was their having a hot tub. When we got there we found it was not functioning, and according to another guest (who frequently stays there due to business) that the hot tub had not been working for over 6 months. Very disappointing."

"This is a working ranch, not a motel. Platform tent is camping though much better than pitching your own tent. Nice setting and friendly people. Really enjoyed getting to know our neighbor. Deer munching grass at the edge of the platform. Owls hooting in the distance coyotes howling too."
