Great stay rubbish weather but good food and comfortable room friendly and helpful staff and the boss was very friendly and knowledgable about the area to visit.
Very welcoming, all staff very friendly and helpful. Great food and excellence service, room very clean, warm and comfortable.
Would highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again.
What a remarkable place to stay. Everyone was so pleasant and the rooms very comfortable. And the restaurant/pub was so good. We at breakfast, lunch and dinner there. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.
A great spot for a stop over (or longer) going further south. Plenty of space for kids in the grounds. Food was excellent, staff were fantastic. EV charging a huge benefit.
A lovely few days away at Turtley Corn Mill while we visited local attractions and towns. Room was very generous with a very comfortable, large bed. Breakfast was exceptional—and dinner was good too. Service throughout was superb. Pub is situated in lovely grounds and the interior’s cosy, especially in late autumn/early winter. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Most romantic and agreeable stay, with a view from a lakeside room. Would love to return, especially after a magnificent evening meal. Hosts were very communicative and we loved the peacocks and natural surroundings.
Would love to return one day, especially if we were offered a small discount
What a lovely lovely stay.
Beautiful and Picturesque and my room is high quality, homely and immaculate.
The top notch is the service - Super engaged team who are attentive, professional and seem really committed to client experience.
As a regular business traveller this is one of the best …
Top notch. highly recommended.
I can't say enough good things about this property, the staff that work there and the lodge that we stayed in by the side of the lake. The Lodge is quite simply exceptional. The build and fit out and furniture, the comfort of the bed, the bifold doors at the front and front view is incomparable. They have thought of everything inside the Lodge and made it such a beautiful place to stay. We didn't want to leave.
We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Corn Mill.
The hotel is in a wonderful location with extensive grounds.
The room was fantastic, clean and comfortable.
The staff were great and nothing was too much for them to make sure our stay was as good as it could be.
The food was fantastic, both for breakfast and in the evening.
It was a great base for visiting some stunning locations in the area.
It was also great to have electric vehicle charging in site.
We could not fault our stay and we will definitely be back for a future holiday.
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, The owners and all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.
The rooms are spotlessly clean. This was our second visit, so a different room to last time, but both have amazing attention to detail and the beds are super comfy.
The restaurant food is delicious and breakfast is cooked exactly as you want it.
I would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing hotel, really handy to get to, straight off the A38 and the only hotel ive ever stayed in where you can open your curtains in the morning to see peacocks!!
Really quiet and tranquil surroundings.
The food was lush, Breakfast cooked to order and we also ate in the restaurant two nights. The nachos!.....THEY WERE AMAZING! Definatley the best ive ever tasted! really good selection on the menu, with a large choice of seafood.
The staff (and owners!) were really friendly and went out of their way to help.
Definitely will be going back
Beautiful setting, fab Breakfast and very friendly staff. Few areas of the accommodation not cleaned, very dusty mirror going up the stairs, in the bedroom sticky substance on the dresser in front of coffe maker. Window sills dusty/dirty when wiped with tissue. Minor issues but for the price charged expected perfection. Would I stay again yes, but food in restaurant pricey for what it is so probably would not eat in again.
We had an excellent stay at the Turtley Corn Mill. We reserved the lakeside cottage, and it delivered a wholesome, serene and exquisite experience of a kind not easily found in the UK. The lake and surrounding grounds are a haven to local avian life and the cottage offers a panoramic, unfettered access to all bird lovers, offering the most intimate vantage points with a particularly powerful set of binoculars that came with the cottage!
The pub owners are affable hosts and helped us create a bespoke itinerary for a full day visit of the vicinity to explore and weave the rich experience of the surroundings. The food at the adjoining restaurant in the pub was categorically delectable and goobleworthy!
Overall, it was a marvel of a time that will be etched into fond memories. The ostentation of resident peafowl and peacocks prancing the grounds in an unbridled manner was a delight to the eyes and soul. We will be back and the stay at Turtley, especially the lakeside cottage, comes with our highest recommendation for anyone looking for a getaway! Thanks to the entire team that made this memorable for us.

Overall, our two-night stay was okay, but for the price we paid, we expected more. The rooms were decent, although there was a bit of mold in the corners, and there was quite a bad smell in the hallway. Dinner was fine, though when I asked for some bread to go with the (quite good) mussels, I was given two slices of plain brown toast with butter - and was charged £4.50 for it. The staff were friendly and eager to help, which we appreciated. However, the overall value for money — both for the room and the food - was disappointing, and we would not choose to stay here again.
Absolutely beautiful property! We stayed for one night and enjoyed a lovely meal at the onsite restaurant, the extremely comfortable room and bed, and the generous breakfast cooked to order the following morning. I highly recommend this property.
Hotel set in beautiful surroundings with peacocks and chickens wandering freely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A short distance to several places to visit and easy to get to.
The hotel was beautiful and breakfast was amazing. Beds were nice and comfortable however the rooms aren't very soundproof. The room was clean where it mattered but as a housekeeper myself, I notice little things, and there were a few dusty areas and fingerprints/watermarks on chromed surfaces etc. Overall the stay was fab and we would definitely visit again!
