“We were welcomed with big smiles and fresh complimentary juices. Our room was upgraded without additional fees. Good variety of breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mendis & Sudish who work at Breeze Restaurant. The hotel and surroundings are very neat, also easy access to the beach. Near to seafood restaurants. “A bit late but we had a great stay. Highlight was Kumara the yoga teacher who adjusted the level as i was the only one that turned up. Guys around the resturant pool were good. And the office lady who helped me off site when she was walking hone and i had an issue.”

“Our stay has been nice. What saddens me is the trash I saw on the beach. It’s not in front of the hotel but all along the beach. People here don’t respect the beauty they have here enough to put their trash and recycle in the right containers and our oceans and beaches suffer from it.”

“I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. ”

“We stayed here on our honeymoon, and was expecting a little more hospitality to be honest couldn't even get a free drink out of them 😅. They do hound you a little in the mornings for room service so don't expect a lay in at this place! “We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved.”
