"We had a great weekend at this property. It's really at the best location on the Riverwalk, and it completely improved our Riverwalk experience to be able to get into a cool, private room or take a dip in the pool between sweaty strolls. This is an old property, which is what makes it a pretty interesting stay if you like the history and architecture of old San Antonio. With that said, I'm sure Omni struggles to keep up with maintenance and so I'm happy to pay a premium to stay here even though I would never describe it as luxury. With that said, though, there were a few things that could have been easily improved upon with just a little bit more attention to detail. With this price, they could have dusted the ice bin. The ice bin had about an inch of dust on it, like it hadn't been cleaned in about 6 months, maybe more. The glasses provided had hard water stains at the bottom of them, not very inviting. The door to the bathroom was closed when we entered our room and it stank like the last guest (if you catch my drift). Positives are the bedding was clean, fresh, and the bed very comfortable. The a/c worked very well and was relatively quiet. Our room was situated with walkout access to the (small but well maintained) pool which we enjoyed very much and I would request for future stays. The LG tv had some issues, it would randomly shut off and was sometimes hard to turn back on and it would default back to the main menu screen, making you lose the channel you were watching."
