"The hotel is lovely. Traditional and well equipped. The only reason it’s not a 5* review is a couple of areas that fell short. In the gym, not all of the equipment is working which means access is difficult at busy times. We only ate in the hotel for breakfast on the day we checked out and were greeted with a confused look when explaining we don’t want the buffet but instead wanted to order from the à la carte menu. The food took a while to come (which we were advised) but when it did, sausages were lukewarm and I wouldn’t be surprised if they came from the buffet. This wasn’t in keeping with the high quality experienced in the rest of the stay. Location is fantastic and the free travel around the city meant we got to see so much. "

"The breakfast was fine. Staff were nice. The location was great, but the laundry was ridiculous 🙄 needed to use a credit card or banking app on your phone. My accounts are not Australin so I guess thats why nothing worked."

"We booked through expedia and when we went to check in we were told that our booking was for a standard king room and not the double/twin king room we paid for. We ended up getting back reward credit from expedia but it still worked out that we overpaid for the room. Everything felt like an up sale. Want to check in earlier thats $50, want both your rooms in the same floor that would be $30 per room per night. Want the double/twin king room that we paid for but expedia/crown wrongly booked thats an extra $30 per night. We have always stayed at promenade when we go to the city but this time will probably be the last."

"Great customer service from the start. Upgraded our room for our anniversary which was really nice! Big and clean with city/river view. Good location with only 5min walk to the river. Would stay here again"
