“We had an excellent one night stay here - and a fun time in town - it’s a little bit of a walk into town but nice - would recommend for a visit to Waterford”
“Lyrath was a gem! Beautiful inside and out, the staff was very accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and our room was more than spacious and comfortable. Would definitely return and plan some “downtime” just to enjoy the hotel’s amenities!”
“The hotel is convenient and close to walking and running routes as well. The staff is absolutely excellent. We were very pleased with our second stay at the hotel.”
“One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Beautiful building inside and out. Big livingroom, bedroom, bathroom and full kitchen. Really loved our stay. ”
“We would 100% recommend staying here. Everything was bl from the moment we arriived, the huts are just fabulous. Quiet and peaceful set in the most beautiful ”
“Total gem and worth going a bit off the beaten path. Wonderfully renovated and welcoming spaces. On a cool night there were small fires in the fireplaces in the lobby and in the restaurant. The dinner at the restaurant was the best of our trip, and the included breakfast in the morning was also fabulous. Walkable little town with several historical points of interest, a Friday morning farmers market, and lots of locals at Joyces pub and bakery. We wished we had booked for more than one night. ”
“Wow, this is a truly unique place to stay. Immaculately kept. Beautifully-designed rooms. Feels like staying in nature without roughing it. Staff is friendly and helpful too. The hot tub and access to the gardens were added bonuses. We stayed with our two kids (8 & 6) in a family room and we all enjoyed it. Highly recommend.”
“Warm and family friendly hotel. We are a couple in our early 60s breaking our journey to West Cork and enjoyed the pool, gym and atmosphere. Great place for visiting Mount Congrieve.”
“Probably the most beautiful, most tastefully designed hotel I've ever stayed at. It was an unexpected gem, truly lovely hotel, nice staff, a few steps away from the adventure park. Nice breakfast choices, comfortable, beautiful, clean room.”
“This place was so cute. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed longer. Very clean and cute. You could tell a lot of love and care had been put into the decor. Everything felt cozy and homey. They even had coffee and cookies available in the room. And they provided a little binder full of hiking spots, restaurants, and things to do nearby which was very helpful. If I ever come through this town again o will definitely stay at Madeline’s. ”
“We spent one night here on our way from Dublin to Kilkenny.
The staff were prompt and very polite.
The location is rural, but the facility is top notch. A grand staircase greets you as you enter the main lobby.
As a group, we occupied three rooms.
Our only issue was the lack of room air conditioning (but iist say the temps while we visited were the highest in almost 80 years).
The rooms are equipped with an energy saving feature, you must place a room key in a wall mounted to activate any in...
“The location is fantastic. Very close to all the bars and nightlife but not in the noise of it. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was huge, (could have included beans though)..
Only downside was the shower curtain. It just stuck to you when using the shower making it uncomfortable. ”
