"Hotel is empty, no staff on reception,no security, have to go into a separate building where the bar is to find someone, then wait in empty hotel for them to leave the bar to check you in. I have used this hotel at least 6 times but this time the lady checking me in. Demanded i pay £25 for my tiny dog!! For 1 night. Hence dog stayed in my car for the night. Will not use this hotel again. So they have lost a regular customer."

"Clean and modern accomodation. Restaurant ok. Gym and pool appreciated. Quiet room, well equipped. The airport shuttle service is not adequate for the amount of guests, service times also. Check-in has to improve (one staff member and about 15 people with different requests or questions on top of those that arrived)!"

"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Riu Plaza España. The location couldn’t have been better—it’s within walking distance of so many of Madrid’s top attractions, restaurants, and shopping, making it the perfect home base for exploring the city. The rooms were modern, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast deserves special recognition—it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had, with an incredible variety of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. If you’re staying in Madrid, this is the only hotel I’d consider. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city."
