"The breakfasts were great! Good choices and good tasting. The room was nice, clean and comfortable . Really liked the outdoor area among the trees with firepit, seating, cornhole etc. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"Liked the location. Could walk to downtown easily. Perfect 1st-level room with old dog to step out on beautiful grounds on the river. The homeless presence was only noticeable one day. The time we went to the restaurant there was next-to-no staff to seat us or serve us. But we loved the very large room and would stay there again."

"Overall, this was a pretty nice place and very close to the downtown areas restaurants and breweries and within walking distance. Front desk staff was very professional and polite. Breakfast was OK at best, with one day served the mystery round egg things and cold. The 2 free happy hour cocktails? Stick to the beer. The liquor was pretty bad and cheap. Its a nice touch to have that offered, but up the game with something better than the stuff we hammered in college. Pool and whirlpool were clean. Property was spotless and parking was ample. A couple of broken items in our room should have been addressed prior to having someone stay in the room. Overall, it was a decent property and as we have stayed in Durango multiple times in the past, we'll probably stay at this property again."

"We have stayed here many times over the years, mainly for hiking in summer/autumn. I don't know if they have new owners or what, but the amenities have changed. First of all, after we booked the room, which was $300, we got a message from the hotel with, SURPRISE!! If you want to park your car, it's an extra $30 per car plus tax, or else you can walk uphill half a mile to the free parking lot. The room has ZERO instructions on how to get on the wifi, TV channels, how late the pool is open, how late the only on-site restaurant is open, where other restauurants are located, etc. You are just supposed to figure it out for yourself because the front desk is understaffed and no one answers the phone. They even eliminated the vending machines, so if you want a snack or a juice, you have to pay $9 per drink and go to the front desk or the overpriced restaurant. Price, the doorman, was very helpful, as was the sole person at the front desk. Both of them are wonderful employees who did a great job. Maybe invest some more $ in staffing and a simple welcome book for guests instead of just raking in money."
