"We elected to pay at the hotel upon arrival. As we were filling up on gas to travel 1.5 hours to our destination, I happened to check my email and see a message from the assistant manger, Kristen. She said we needed to update our card info by 3pm or the reservation will be canceled. It was 2:40pm when I happened to see the message (and no one called me although that’s an urgent request). So, we sat at the gas station to try to get this straightened out. We called 5 different times, left two voicemails, sent an email directly to the assistant manager, and sent a message via Expedia. Finally, on the 6th call, we got through and “updated” the info although they still didn’t take the payment until we arrived, so what was the point??? We stayed at the AC a few times in the past and it was modern and clean. When we checked into our room I was extremely disappointed. The room was outdated, floors were sticky, and there was hair everywhere. We were in town for a concert and afterwards we decided to just drive back home at 1am because neither of us felt comfortable staying. The drama didn’t end there though. I received 3 receipts after check out. The first, did not have valet added to it. The second, added valet for $22. The final one, added valet for $45. Parking was a fixed rate, what were all the changes about? All in all, excellent location, but it was not worth the hassle nor price. I saw the Moxy near by we’ll try there instead. "
"Part of the reason we stayed here was the indoor pool. The pool was frigid, and we asked if they could turn the heat up. It never got any warmer during our stay. The front desk was responsive to our other needs. The key card for the parking garage didn't work the best but it is in a convenient location to the hotel. Lots to do around the area if you like walking around. "
"For our anniversary my wife and i decided to drive to Covington and spend the night where we first stayed on our honeymoon. When we pulled up to the front door the car was surrounded by transients, all smoking and nothing about it felt right or safe. I walked into the lobby and the smell of smoke was so strong, I could hardly breathe. The man who checked us in, (wearing a heavy linked chain with a lock around his neck) was very kind, but again, it was nowhere near the atmosphere we remembered and that motivated us to drive 6 hours to stay at.
I figured since I had prepaid for the night, once we got to the room we could get through one night. The elevator smelled the same as the lobby and when we reached our room, saw the door was propped open. I pushed the door open unsure of what I would find. The smell of smoke was so strong in the room I couldn’t breathe and I knew we couldn’t stay.
Went back to the desk and explained the situation, gave my key back, lost the price of the room, drove to another city, paid for another room.
I have traveled as part of my job for most of my life. I can take a room that’s sub par but for the first time in my life, felt afraid and unsafe.
A lesson I will never have to learn again. From now on, I stick with hotel chains I know.

"Hyatt Place Cincinnati Airport was a pleasant place to stay. Parking was free when we stayed in March 2026, and the area was great- close to many restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues. Free breakfast each morning included hot protein options, as well as make your own fresh waffles, and the usual cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and bread options. The room was clean, and well laid out. The pool area was a bit grubby, but it was busy being enjoyed any time we went. It would be nice if there was a washroom attached to the pool area, as it is inconvenient to dry off and walk to the other half of the hotel for kids to pee.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the great location. We would recommend staying here, and would stay again. The nightly cost was affordable, and it was a safe pleasant stay."
