Since we've been asked three times, here you go...
We stayed only two hours before packing up and going to the holiday inn.
1. We had to find someone to give us a lightbulb for one of the lamps since the overhead light was broken.
2. Once we received a lightbulb (from someone's who was living there) we realized we also didn't have a remote to the TV. We were eventually given a remote.
3. There were two dogs - one off leash and at one point in the evening, they were fighting.
4. The people nextdoor (also living there - no judgement on that life necessity, you do what has to be done sometimes) continued to fight right outside the room while their baby was crying.
5. Laying on the bed made us itchy and uncomfortable. The sheets had multiple stains and holes.
6. The walls were dirty with holes barely patched up, tears in the shades, wall trim pulling up everywhere.
The last straw; after seeing a dead cockroach and some other bug in the bathroom; was seeing a cockroach climb up the wall.
I personally returned the keys to the front office, explaining that we were no longer staying the night because of the bugs. I thanked them for going above and beyond to find us lightbulbs and a TV remote, but that this place was disgusting and we weren't staying. The lady I spoke to just shrugged as if she was aware of the conditions. No refund offered or anything. I should have asked them to forward our payment on to one of the many families living there, but we just wanted out!
