"3/5 – Decent stay, but tight on space
Overall an okay experience. The room was quite small for two people on a week-long trip — storage was limited and we genuinely struggled to find space to open and access our suitcases properly. It's also not a modern hotel, though that's probably fairly typical for the area.
There's also no lift, which made carrying heavy luggage up to the room a real struggle. The hotel is right next to a main road, so it was noisy even with the windows closed.
On the plus side, the staff were helpful throughout, and the chef was friendly and made a nice impression. The location is a real strength — easy access to both bus and train, so getting around Penzance and beyond was convenient.
Given the price we paid, though, it didn't quite feel like it matched the value — for the cost, I'd have expected a bit more in terms of room size and amenities."
