Our family was visiting St. Louis with another family. Even though the rate was reasonable, there were a few concerns. Our room was clean enough, but our friends' room had bed bugs. They were given a different room and were compensated one night's stay; I thought they should have had the entire stay comped!
Secondly, one evening, we down in the swimming pool area which is next to the breakfast area and we noticed that small refrigerator which held milk, yogurt, cream cheese, and butter was not running. All the items inside were warm. When we alerted the attendant, she plugged the fridge into a different outlet and it came back on, but she did not take any of the items out of the fridge, just left them there to serve for breakfast in the morning. We felt this was a major food-safety issue.
Also, I only saw one housekeeper working the entire 3-night stay. We did not have our room serviced once the entire time. And there were trash bags sitting out in the hallways from people's rooms that sat there for days in a row. Our family will stay elsewhere when we visit St. Louis in the future.
