This was a last minute trip. I have not stayed here before but I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is older but the rooms are updated and you can't beat the location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Yacht Club in Dunedin very much. The hotel is very comfortable and is located in a convenient location with great water views. The daily free breakfast was a nice perk since it was not only very good, but well managed. Our only complaint was the check in experience. We arrived around 2:45pm and was told our room was not ready because the previous occupants had checked out late. We were asked to wait until it was cleaned and ready, so we waited in the lobby for an hour. We finally asked the front desk what the status was and he said the room was ready and was unaware we were told to wait. The lady at the front desk who originally told us to wait had apparently left for the day and failed to notify us or the new front desk manage that we were still waiting.

Best Western should be ashamed to charge the rate they do for this hotel. This hotel could be so much more with an amazing location on the Dunedin waterfront. Sadly the quality of our room was terrible. Cheap linens, exposed pipes under both sinks, a shower curtain for a bathroom door that fell down and staff put back up with duct tape, shower head on opposite side of faucet (weird), grumpy front desk staff, tired patio furniture and the kicker - pool was closed for maintenance for our entire stay.. This hotel should be so much better!

I was impressed with the hotel. For it's price, it was clean, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was surprisingly decent, and the pool was a nice surprise. The rooms are definitely dated and in need of a refresh, but they were clean and quiet. One small complaint is that there are very few electrical plugs, and they are all so worn that the phone charger doesn't hold itself in the plug. The location is great, right by the marina, with easy access for walks by the ocean or up in to town. For those of you going to the ballpark, it's only about a 20 min walk away.

Location was great. Property was old, terrible smell from water pipes everytime water was turned on. Refrigerator leaked water all over floor, but hotel staff did take care of it and replaced the unit. If not for the location would never pay the high price for the room. Needs updated desperately.

The area is great. The hotel is average. I like that they offered complimentary breakfast… I’m glad they did because at least it helps justify the price for this OK hotel. It is old, very tiny ants were in the room. It was musty and humid in the room, especially in the bathroom. We are had an incident where the staff came into the room even when we had our do no disturb sign in the door. Wouldn’t stay there again. This place needs some major renovations.

Room with a “View”
First we were greeted with a “yes Can I help you” in a condescending manner. We booked and paid for a marina view room and the view was of the parking lot. Then we left to grab coffee way before the check out time and when we come to the room. They are already in there cleaning it and it was only 10 and check out was 11. Walls are paper thin but overall was comfortable. Don’t sell a room with a view if you can’t deliver and don’t start cleaning rooms until after check out. Do better

Recently updated, the room was large, comfortable and feet away from the Gulf in the harbor. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was hot , fresh and a good variety to begin the day. Will return in the next trip up to the area.

What a wonderful place to stay on the water in beautiful Dunedin. The rooms are pretty, clean and quiet. Breakfast is excellent and free. Staff are friendly and polite. Highly recommend
