"My husband and I stayed at the Hollander for our anniversary weekend.
Pros: We loved the historic charm of the hotel. The reception staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The food at the downstairs restaurant was very good. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very soft. Shower had good water pressure. I liked the complimentary makeup removing wipes in the bathroom. The pool and outside bar looked great from our window, although we never made it there in person. The location was close enough to everything that we were able to walk most places or uber for less than $15.
Cons: Hollander has a free shuttle, but it doesn’t run until 2pm and if there’s a line you can end up waiting a while - so we never got a chance to use it. The parking lot is an hot mess, especially if you have a larger vehicle. There are very limited parking spaces, and for some reason people are constantly parking in random places in the back lot, making it nearly impossible to get through. Our Escalade was barely able to fit through to find a spot in the back dirt lot. Then, when it was time for us to leave, a car parked in front of the exit, so we had to drive the wrong way back through the parking lot in order to get out.
Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future. If you have the ability to drive a small car while going to the Hollander, drive it and you’ll be fine. Trucks and large SUVs, it will put your driving skills to the test!"
