"The Doubletree is an excellent option for anyone interested in staying in downtown Poughkeepsie. I have stayed there on three different occasions in the last three months, each time for several days,and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the parking is free, access is convenient, there are great restaurants within a short walk, and it is only a short walk to the Poughkeepsie Bridge State Park, which is spectacular. Many rooms have a beautiful view over town...

"I did not come in with high expectations based on the cost. The room was in moderately good condition and generally clean. Overall, the property could use a good scrubbing. In my limited interactions with the staff, they seemed friendly.
My one recommendation would be to stop burning incense all day long. I found the smell very off-putting."
