Our room was very clean with a lovely view towards the sea. We really enjoyed the Moonshine Bar where the food and drink was spot on and we enjoyed watching the sea and walking on the shore. There are hammocks and a few loungers available also. The main building is comfortable and nicely set out. it was super quiet when we were there which was lovely, the only downside being the bar and food service stopped at 6.30m which is very early.
If you're traveling to the Bahamas the Stella Maris Resort should be your travel destination. The grounds were breath-taking, room was quiet with excellent views, food was delicious, but the best thing about this resort is the staff. Jill, DD, Joel, Jamie, Chanel, Kate, Noel, Anja, Amanda, and every single person there made our first and not last vacation there one of the best we've ever had. Thank you so much. We highly recommend Stella Maris Resort.
The PERFECT place for a few quiet days, with dream beaches around and a super friendly team! I'd highly recommend this as an authentic and familiar place to the high-end hotels in Nassau -- if you're looking to get away from mass tourism, this is the place for you!
The property is older and dated but very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent while the lunch and dinners were ok. Staff is friendly and attentive. It's off the grid and a perfect spot to disconnect
Private swim pool carved out of beach coral rock with ocean flowing through. Unbelievably cool!!!! Extremely private. Beach barista makes best mango daiquiri in world- yummy. Walking distance from airport if lightly loaded.
Prices high for everything. Come loaded and have a good time.
I will never visit this property again. Nor will i recommend it to anybody. Its dated, dirty, dusty, unsafe, no keys to the room, slow running water, no bath towel.... omg the list long. EVERYTHING was awful
Très bon séjour de 4 nuits dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est très accueillant, les petit-déjeuners et dîners plein de saveurs ! Et les cocktails extras !!!!!
The property was probably nice at one time. It is in terrible condition now- plumbing awful, sheets don’t fit, water intermittent, no airport pick up service until we finally called, pools were awful, outdoor ping pong and pool table covered in mold and not playable, beaches were small and non-swimmable and there were no beach chairs or umbrella. Staff wasn’t helpful unless asked and they were pretty lazy.
Guest information was non existent.
The only decent thing was the chef was very good.
I would not stay here again and would never recommend it.

Loved the staff and the food was wonderful. Only complaint was the walk up the hill to the restaurant. It was so rough I stepped in a hole and fell. The people were terrific and took us to a wonderful beach for snorkeling. We had a great time at the outdoor bar too.
Super super nice staff! I did not like not being able to lock our room and not being provided a key to do so. I also did not like the fact that we were not told that there would be no tv and the internet would only work at the bar area.
All staffs are very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are nice and view from the rooms are incredible. Although there are so many mosquito in the room, the hotel bar and the restaurant. I couldn’t stay longer even I want to do it.
Very beautiful place, 2 sea water pools and one small beach, but you are shuttled (free) to other huge beaches, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling. Nature lovers will melt on every spot there. Food - good but extra and not too budgety, coffee - bad. No shopping. The island is 50 years back in time. Bring extra cash to rent a car, a boat. No wifi in most rooms, have to go to the office. Sea water in the shower. Left side driving.
My wife and I saw this hotel on HGTV beachfront bargain hunt Caribbean. We flew there from N.J. via Nassau Bahamas. Then we flew to the Stella Maris Hotel located on Long Island in the Bahamas east of Florida the beaches run from the north to south. Like most of these remote islands, the roads are in typical island condition, ie. pot holes and unpaved roads. There are rocky beaches and choppy seas on the east side, the west side are white fine sand stretches with towering palms. The water is calm and you walk a considerable distance in shallow water. There are lot's of spots for beach combing. Stella Maris Hotel near the northern part of the island. The hotel has a nice bar and dining room and the staff are VERY friendly and accommodating. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Have fun!
chambres en bord de mer confortables sans plus pas de wifi ni de tv.
Contrairement a ce qui est indique il n y a pas de plage .
Un temps excecrable ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine
